Dobbs is a bust, as it sits right now. There is a reason that he is behind Peterman and it has nothing to do with his possible future time in the program. He's a smart guy, but from what I hear (from a former starting national championship player) his arm strength is lacking and he can't make some of the throws. They are working on it. Take it for what its worth, which I know won't be much for those of you that are pinning for him to play.
So how do you feel about Peterman? Are you in the boat that says he's done based on his freshman year of playing time?
I don't know about that. I did notice his running ability vs Chatt though. Much better than Worley.
No, I didn't. I was mentioning that Dobbs can win in the SEC. He did it as a freshman. Worley beat one team, as a senior, and had to get bailed out by his WR. Worley is nothing special.
Wouldn't you like to at least know for sure? What have we got to lose? A redshirt?
Don't you know? Dobbs gets almost an entire half season of bad to average play and is still considered our QB savior. Peterman is damned based on about 10 plays in highly pressured situations.
Yeah, But if our below average senior QB always throws INT's and gets himself sacked(always blamed on OL).....what difference does it make? Can Dobbs be worse? no....he can run and may make better decisions.Exactly my point. People are saying he is the best QB yet he is third on the depth chart for a reason. I doubt he has seriously made massive strides in practice to warrant a start.
Does it really matter? He is not playing and there is a reason for it. Why is that so hard for you to understand? Its like proving a negative.Make which throws? deep passes? We don't attempt those anyway.
Does having a strong arm have anything to do with consistently making decisions to throw into heavy coverage costing us game after game?(as a senior)
How does arm strength help a QB's decision making?
He's better than Dobbs. And as mentioned, Dobbs was bailed out against UK.
If Worley is nothing special, then Dobbs is crap.
