Dobbs worked with the 1s today!

Well the last time was Saturday against olé miss, when CBJ put Peterman in the game instead of dobbs.

Still holding on to redshirt hopes before that game, Peterman was second string...now that we're getting indications that Worley was injured, Dobbs is getting first team reps?...seems like preparation for him to play. If Worley can't go, then Peterman will start and get Joey Matthewsed in short order if he plays like previous incarnations. :gone:

CBJ is a smart guy; certainly, get some reps if starting QB is getting dinged on a regular basis. But, for most part, probably mis-direction for VOLNation and Bama preparation. Remember CBJ's offense is built around precision and timing, conservative, not so much free-wheeling, take advantage of what develops in front of you. Worley knows the plays, manage his time better this week so he will be healed/fresh; what is our GPS system showing us from practice? now, if he were to release that, we'd really know who was doing what. Practice isn't always about intent, sometimes it's about positioning.....as in, image.

It's simple what he has "up his sleeve". I'll explain.

Three QB's No. 1 Worley, No. 2 Peterman, No. 3 Dobbs

There is a game Saturday. No. 1 Worley may not be able to play.

This means Peterman could move to No. 1 and Dobbs No. 2 for this particular game. So you always practice 2 QB's with the 1's just in case.

Seems pretty simple to understand.

Agreed!

Didn't Dobbs see his first action against AL last year? What a way to make a debut... twice.

Did pretty well as a true freshman in that game as well.

Yes he did. He also "got thrown to the wolves" at top 10 Mizzou as a true freshman, vs a defense in the top 5 nationally in sacks and interceptions.....and set a UT freshman record with 26 completions, posted the highest passing yards for a UT qb in 2013, and was the team's leading rusher. The Peterman apologists/Dobbs haters are in a special kind of denial.

Hmm and Worley got to play Austin Peay and WKU, interesting.

Nathan Peterman is the #2 QB. Now consider his body of work. He has gone 15-33 for 65 yards and 2 interceptions. It wouldn’t surprise me if he is listed at #2 simply because the coaching staff wants to redshirt Dobbs.

Why is that?..He'll just go in there and stink it up just like he did last season...Not sure where you guys suddenly think he is the 2nd coming of jesus.

There's levels of stink...what we've seen with Peterman has been off the charts. :yuck: Your confusion with equating Dobbs with the Messiah is warranted...because it's never been said.

Soooooooo.........

Smokescreen?

Nate has had 38 minutes of playing time in his career. I am positive we can find 38 minutes of suck play from Dobbs to compare.

I don't think "positive" is part of your makeup.

I agree. Peterman is only number 2 because they want to red-shirt Dobbs. If you look at the depth chart it doesn't list Peterman #2 and Dobbs #3. It states #2 Peterman or Dobbs.

But this thread has caused me to ignore some much needed troll fans.

Yeah he did great....after we were down 24-3.

You Dobbs worshippers are a special kind of delusional. I've never see a QB so judged by a completely different set of factors.

Worley gets bashed for not beating teams, Peterman is bashed for looking bad being thrown into high pressure situations, but Dobbs is hailed as the guy we should start to get a bowl after a bad to average half season in games we lost 45-10, 31-3, and 55-23. And that Vandy performance was one for the ages.

He was a TRUE FRESHMAN! He was a scrawny kid that came out of high school that couldn't get the ball to his receivers because of arm strength.

He has worked on that and looked good in the Spring game delivering the ball. Dobbs is probably the reason why Ferguson quit because he would've been last on the depth chart or at least 3rd.

We haven't hailed Dobbs as anything but a viable threat to run the ball effectively with this weak line. You sir are the one that is critical of a Vol player and I am questioning your fanhood with how much you dislike Dobbs.

Worley and Peterman would have my support and I won't down what they have to bring to the table. Some people look at things objectively rather than spewing hatred.

The level of stupidity from some here is amazing. "DERP Dobbs haz first downs Peterman SUCKS!!!!!"

Switch what both have played and get back to me. When Peterman gets a full game against a suck team like UK AFTER all pressure of making a bowl is gone, the Dobbs slobbers can get back to me.
