I say good for him, yes its a risk of getting injured, but obviously from an academic standpoint, hes set for the future no matter what happens, hes young and just having fun. I say why not, and go for it. Its not like he's bound by contract in football.

Yes as fans it would suck for him to get hurt, but it would be selfish of us to say no he shouldnt play just because we want him healthy for the football season.

How would this help his accuracy? I always thought baseball throwing mechanics interfered with football, not helped it.

I remember Todd Helton at QB and if you watched his football throwing motion every once in a while he would 'sling' the football like you do a baseball and it would go wobbling into the teeth of the secondary.

Two different throwing motions. Also this will take time away from him working with receivers so that he can become a better downfield passer. No spring football practice.

Good for him though. It takes a lot of time doing one sport especially with his classes. Can't imagine doing baseball and their time away from classes.

+1. That's the first thing that came to mind, for me, too. Russell Wilson played baseball, so maybe Josh is thinking it can indeed help.

However, him missing Spring football practice cannot be good for his development as a QB. It means Dormady and Jones will get all the work, and one of them might snag the job from him in the fall.

In terms of what's good for him as a QB, it's not good thing on the whole. What does it matter if it improves his accuracy while Dormady or Jones impress enough to take over?

Call me selfish but I'd rather he spend most of his time keeping all our footVol players working hard and for Dobbs to really PUSH every player to become as great as they can become.

Dobbs only has 1 last chance with Team 120 to help bring home a SEC Championship and a National Championship and I would have thought that 100% of his focus would be on those 2 serious goals.

I'd sure love to see everyone on Team 120 get 1 or maybe 2 rings at the end of next season.
