I can count at least three times I saw Dobbs not running when he should have. A couple of those times he gained ground against a defender but instead of committing to the run he stopped and proceeded to look for a receiver and got sacked or barely got back to the line of scrimmage before getting tackled. Another time it appeared as though he committed to the run and ran at like half speed only to get tackled shortly thereafter. He seemed completely unaware of his surroundings at times and forgot about the defenders chasing him. I felt like I was watching a horror movie and screaming at the victim through the TV, "OMG he's right behind you man, run!"

At any rate though, I'll take the win.

Hyams seems to believe he was hurt a bit.
I said on here Dobbs was kimpy starting in the first quarter. He is however a warrior and I thought threw the ball very well. I mean the pass that Malone dropped was perfect. We had 5 major drops last night. Malone just simply can not miss that Td.

We were at the game and we thought Dobbs was not 100%. It was clear he wasn't running like normal.

What's up with Dobbs fumbling the ball so much this season? Somebody on the coaching staff should talk to him about ball security.

Cue "Dormady's playing time" people in 3...2...

Really though if Dobbs is banged up why not play Dormady the whole game. La Tech just had one player rush for six tds against North Texas... We would be alright.

Seems to me getting Dobbs back to 100% in the run game is more important than some extra passing reps against North Texas.

Yeah there was one play that looked like he was simply strolling into the endzone...but it was second and 10 and he was moving at less than half speed and picked up like 3 instead of probably the 10+ he could of. Hope he heals up quickly if he's banged up

Butch called him a warrior for playing through injury. Get the facts before you start your bash threads op.

He got hurt sometime in the late first quarter, he came off limping a little. Happened on a run where it looks like he got his ankle twisted.

Late in the game he makes a completion to one of the receivers...moves down field the play is an option to Hurd off the left side. Dobbs gives the ball to Hurd, everyone in the stadium is looking for him to give the ball to Hurd, all he has to do is tuck the ball and game over.

He also got absolutely destroyed on the hail Mary pass before the half. He definitely wasn't running the same way last night.

Foot injury per Jimmy. Says he injured it against Bama, was okay versus Kentucky but was more bothersome against USC.

I agree with the posters suggesting that we should start Dormady against NT. Don't know how we would benefit from having a banged up Dobbs playing.
