Do you think he just had an off night or do you think that Butch should explore 2 QB system like he has used in the past??

It wasn't an off night

It's what our offense looks like when the coaches refuse to let him run.

They finally abandoned that stupid idea in OT and guess what, it worked

I know the idea is to keep him healthy, but we waited way too long to let him loose.

Dobbs looked shaken on the sidelines after that touchdown run. Be careful what you am for.

He was instructed to NOT run the ball and NOT get hit...

He went -4 yards running tonight...and looked S L O W...

He wasn't great, but that was a pitiful offensive game plan. Dobbs threw the ball well enough when they called a downfield pass. A couple were off, but that pass to Malone was perfection. Bad play on the INT., and that was a poor decision to throw.

The entire offense appears to have regressed and looked like they had never seen pressure before until tonight

To be fair they didn't really let him throw the ball. We ran between the tackles on 1st and 2nd downs and short pass on 3rd down. The only time we really tried to go down field it worked and guess what....we tore that play out of the book and threw it away.

Exactly right. No three headed monster tonight. I want to see Georgia Tech style in a spread offense the rest of the year.

IT'S NOT THE PLAYCALLING!! Our coaches are protecting Dobbs from himself. He is not a consistent passer and he will never be. He's a playmaker that manages our offense the best he can.

I will be excited for next year just to know that we have a true passer at the QB position.

That's the only way we win. If they try to make Dobbs be a pocket passer we'll struggle.

He didn't run any and had a bull rush straight up the gut all night. I don't think he's regressed and don't think he's improved. We can win with him but we need blocking, open receivers and a decent scheme

So that is what they went to? this is spread offense, QB running is part of the game. I think they went vanilla and almost got a L out of a weak play book. However, the OL got bullied and pushed around like a bunch of ................jmo.
