Dobbs Passing

About 50% of the time, yes.

The good Dobbs is a game changer. The bad Dobbs is a total liability. It depends on which one shows up.

Does anyone still think this team would be a better passing team if Dormady was our Starting QB?

Difficult to say because we rarely see QD pass in "real" playing time. I am one of the few who is actually more excited for next year when it comes to our passing game. Sjt has mentioned many times that Dobbs is challenged with reading defenses, leading receivers, and throwing recievers open. I happen to agree. JD makes up for much of those challenges with his athletic talents , leadership, and competitiveness.

He made a bad decision on last play but in general I think since 2nd half of Florida game he has thrown better balls. Amazing what confidence can do. I also know he makes plays no one else can and many times on crucial 3rd downs

I believe that Dobbs has played well enough to win every game this year, We played well enough to beat TA&M by 2 touchdowns, but turnover are a killer.

I Still think he is the best option we have and there isn't anyone even close to him on our roster as of right now. He is passing a lot better this year, Receivers are still dropping passes that they get both hands on, that is unacceptable.

Every Ball is not going to be thrown perfect by any QB, sometimes WR just need to make a play.

Dobbs will lead us to a big time win this year, either Bama or the SEC Championship.

He owns his mistakes. He noted it was a bad read.

Note: op has history of wishing players would get injured. Not sure why I bother to respond

I always thought Dobbs made us better the first time he walked on the field. Being a mobile quarterback, he added a dimension to our offense. Right now, he's the best we have, and he's got us this far. He can't catch his own passes.

He catches Jenning's passes, though.

LOVED that red zone play.

Sure the passing game would be greatly improved with Dormady but Dobbs more than makes up for it with his scrambling and running. You need that in college football especially if you have a porous offensive line which we do.

Maybe just limit his throws to screens and shuttle passes in OT. The one against Oklahoma and TAM were doomed from release.

And weren't both on 1st down, talk about sudden death

why are we still talking about this 6 games into the season, Dobbs is the senior, been the starter and it should not change...just silly fan talk, please wake up and notice that without dobbs either passing or making plays with his legs we would be worse off then we are today....

next thread.....

We had a lot of dropped balls that were critical. Can you imagine if most of those were caught? I would bet the receivers are making other mistakes as well, like bad route running, etc. A lot of this is not just Dobbs mistakes.

Dobbs is impressively improved, especially on long ball accuracy this year, which was my main gripe. He's put us in a position to win every game and I'm glad he's leading this team.

We will be a much better passing team when QD is the QB. Will that translate into being a better overall team...who knows?

The OP would do well to remember call-out threads can cut both ways. His long-standing bias will likely be remembered next year.

Dobbs makes some bone head plays but there are to many question marks with the O if he couldn't play for whatever reason.

note i said nothing about not liking dobbs. just his play in overtime. when we should have scored a td on a read he gave it to the back in the 1st overtime. then int time in 2nd ot just like oklahoma last season. he owns up to his mistakes but i just wish he wouldnt make them. we would be 0-6 without dobbs no question about that.
