Dobbs...NFL or Grad School

Dobbs is in no way a 2nd-3rd round prospect. He's not NFL built, he's a dual-threat passer who doesn't have great accuracy and has to rely on solid runningbacks. He needs to understand that in the NFL, taking those hits will be harder and you need to make a living through passing and not rushing.

College Football is great for a dual-threat type of offense, but the NFL is a different story. There's a reason why Tyler Bray is still on the Chief's roster and that's because he has a gun of an arm (Although maybe not accuracy), and he wasn't even drafted.

Can you really imagine Bray going undrafted and Dobbs being a 2nd/3rd rounder? Though who knows? The kid could turn out to be the next Russell Wilson or Cam Newton (If he buffs up) if he works hard.
He isn't as inaccurate as you guys make him out to be imo.

Who at Receiver is playing like a 4-5* Receiver? I venture to say not one, other than Josh Smith and he was a 3*, so as of now i would think they are moslty busts....

https://rivals.yahoo.com/tennessee/football/recruiting/player-Josh-Smith-141577''

And yet all the blame goes to Dobbs or Azzani. It's as if people purposely overlook our top wide receivers, the ones who played the majority of snaps last year, have been injured and are convinced that Dobbs is just inaccurate. This is so over exaggerated. Dobbs isn't perfect. He will be even better next year. He isn't no where near his ceiling. If he keeps progressing and we have a dedicated QB coach he has everything the NFL wants in an QB. I would represent and franchise very well.

Dobbs definitely has the skills to be in the NFL. However, there is one thing you named that Dobbs doesnt really compare with the guys you mentioned. Arm strength. Dobbs has decent arm strength. The guys you listed, especially Newton, Kaep and RGIII have freaking cannons for arms. Wilson has a good arm too. Dobbs has a good arm but not a cannon. Thats not a knock against him. Peyton Manning has nowhere near a cannon and never has.

Now, I do believe that IF Dobbs decides to go to the NFL, him working with NFL trainers will benefit him greatly. I think he would get stronger and improve his mechanics.

Sensible post

You are dumber than a box of hammers if you think Dobbs would get drafted anywhere before the 7th round if he came out this year. You could at least try and make it appear that you have a clue.

44,000 posts? WOW you need a hobby instead of spending so much time trying to convince people how terrible Dobbs is.

You put down your stamp collection to count? I "post too much" also...gets brought up a lot when a poster undertakes the arduous task of typing a few words and hitting submit. :)

You remember the GA game that we came back and won. The TD pass to Josh Smith that he caught and ran for a touchdown, was actually thrown BEHIND him. The fourth down conversion to Von Pearson was thrown in the dirt. If Pearson would not have slipped, it would have been an incomplete pass. So yeah, Dobbs is highly inaccurate.

But Andre Ware and a couple of mock drafts said... lol.

44,628...............will you please be my new social coordinator? Show me the ways of coolness. I have to put little effort in showing that Dobbs is nowhere near a NFL QB.

You do know that if he is as good as you keep babbling about, that bad oline and bad WR will have absolutely nothing to do with how he projects in the draft right? Do you even know how any of this works other than he's black, so he's better than whitey is giving him credit for.

Yea, which is why he's projected to be a draft pick between 4/6 if he went pro RIGHT NOW. While everyone else on VN is saying he has no chance. I'm sorry, do you evaluate college players for a living? You must know soooo much more then all the other guys getting paid hundreds of thousands of dollars doing it.

Yea, because you get paid thousands of dollars to evaluate QB's for the draft? Like all the other people who say Dobbs will get drafted. He has everything you want, size, he's a great leader, arm, all he has to do is get more consistent.

Lol, OMG 2 examples. A WR did what he's supposed to do. How about all the times a WR has dropped a perfect pass? Malone vs SoCar, Malone vs WKU, Pearson not turning around vs SoCar, pearson dropping a first down vs UF. Plenty of examples. But yea, I'm gonna listen to a guy on VN who probably isn't involved in sports instead of listen to guys who get paid thousands to evaluate players for the NFL.

There have been numberous Drops, bad routes, and missed blocking assignments. Dobbs isn't perfect but he is a good QB.

He said it multiple times, he didn't misspoke. Just think, he's getting paid hundreds of thousands to say that.... But you know soooo much more then him.

Ware isn't a scout. He's an analyst. And if he thinks Dobbs is in any way similar to Cam Newton, it confirms for about the 10th time that he's a terrible one.
