Dobbs...NFL or Grad School

Love Dobbs as a person, leader and football player. He's represented the University with class and dignity. But, he doesn't have the necessary skills to play in the NFL right now. Can he change that over the course of this offseason and next year? Possible, but very doubtful. His accuracy is poor and his mechanics need a lot of tuning.

I really don't understand all of the comparisons to Cam Newton, either. Cam's biggest issue in college was the simplicity of the system they ran, with people being unsure if he could grasp the mental element of the NFL with read progressions, audibles, etc. You could see the potential he had on film, though, and I don't think it's there with Dobbs.

Also, Cam is/was bigger, faster, stronger, and more accurate than Dobbs. Dobbs, to me, is a poor man's Deshaun Watson right now (not a knock on him, just trying to compare his skillset and body type to someone).

Andre ware, ya know, the guy who is a professional announcer and played football. disagrees with you.

Andre Ware compared Dobbs to Newton? Surely you're mistaken. You do see the difference between them right? Ya know 2 inches, 40 pounds, cannon arm, faster, stronger...

Tee Martin got drafted in the 5th, Dobbs will easily get drafted. Yall are hilarious.

Tee Martin was a drop-back passer with mobility in a pro-style, NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP offense. And, as mentioned, he had a cannon arm.

BTW, he played in a total of three games and was 6 of 16 for 69 yards in the NFL for his career. Not exactly an encouraging comparison.

He said it in the middle of a game...when he forgot the name of our MLB and was vamping. :)

Tee Martin was a drop back pocket passer. He and Dobbs are as different as night and day.

You and some of the others here are clueless about the NFL

Did you watch Tee Martin play? He was very inconsistent and Innacutate at times. His completition% was in the lower/mid 50's...

K, bud. That's why people have called Dobbs a top 10 draft eligible QB. That's there job, to evaluate players for the NFL. Whats your job?

He said at this stage in their career, Dobbs is a more devolped passer.

Dobbs will go no earlier than 5/6th round if that..doesn't have an SEC arm, much less an NFL one.

Being top 10 draft eligible QB does not equal top 4 rounds.....at all

Then I guess all the analysts and guys who evaluate college players for the nfl are too.

There isn't a person on the planet other than Andre Ware.....who was obviously sniffing glue that day, that says Josh Dobbs is anything at all similar to Newton. There isn't anyone other than you saying he's a lock to go in the first 4 rounds. He will be lucky to be drafted next year.....he just doesn't fit or have the tools that they look for in a NFL QB. Not my opinion, just reality.

He was only inconsistent early in his junior season. By the time we played SC, he completed 23 straight in that game.

If he gets drafted at all, it will be mid to late rounds.

Before lecturing people, you might want to get a grasp of the difference in their and there

Yall better go tell those people they are clueless and should find a new job. And just think, that's with a struggling Recieving corp and struggling O-line. If WR's can start getting off press coverage and get open, that draft stock will keep climbing.

Greyson Lambert completed 23-24 passes.... That's not saying much lol

WalterFootball.com: 2016 NFL Draft: Quarterback Rankings
WalterFootball.com: 2017 NFL Draft: Quarterback Rankings

Here's 2. One has him as the #12 QB for 2016 and a 5/7th round pick.
The other is #10 2017 QB and 4/6th round pick.
Joshua DobbsÂ*|Â*Tennessee,Â*QBÂ*:Â*2017 NFL Draft Scout Player Profile
This shows him as the #7 QB.
How in the world does this support your ridiculous babble that Josh Dobbs is similar to Cam Newton or the other black quarterbacks you listed? Additionally, does this support your mushmouth ramble that Josh Dobbs is projected as a top round pick??? This is exhausting arguing with you and it's run its course. Was a little funny at first, now it's just tremendously sad.
