Dobbs, Is he our future?

The biggest thing Butch's staff missed (and myself included) is how much better Dobbs made everyone else. Worley is a better QB. However, Vols offense is better with Dobbs. If you don't believe me, compare Hurd's numbers before Alabama and after Dobbs came in. Bottom line, Dobb's makes the defense honor the read option.

How many more Dobbs threads do we need to discuss the same freakin subject? Geesh.

Rather read these than "Worley is a world beater" threads. By the way where did all of the Worley threads go? Worley is yesterday's news, Dobbs is the present and future.

Last year Dobbs' first action was in the Bama game. He came in with no experience threw some precision strikes, had somw good runs and moved the ball well. By the Vandy game other teams had him figured and the staff wouldnt let him throw the ball.

We didn't have North against Vandy (after the second or third series), who was the only WR with reliable hands and some kind of developed timing with Dobbs. The rest of the WR corps were about as reliable as our true freshman QB. It was a mess all around.

Dobbs also had a banged up thumb going into the Vandy game, had difficult time gripping the ball. Was reminded of this by Reed Carringer the other day while listening to RockyTop Insider podcasts. Remember Jones saying this too preseason during an interview in Destin with 104.5 The Zone.
