If im gonna thank anybody for the ‘15 and ‘16 seasons making the future look promising, it’s gonna be Dobbs. The guy absolutely masked what an incompetent coach CBJ truly is. Yes, we have talent all over the field but if it wasn’t for Dobbs extending drives and doing what he did, we would’ve been in similar situations those 2 years as we are now. Thank God he didn’t get a redshirt, that would’ve been another year that Jones got to mask his coaching incompetence and we would be stuck with him for another year.

Yet it's Butch's fault that other players aren't all american? Lol that isn't reality. Josh, Cam, Etc were his guy's that he developed.

I guess its fair to say Josh Dobbs made Butch Jones.

This record is downright pathetic.

That stat is something I hope they watch for , on the next coach. Lots ride the coat tales of catching lightning in a bottle with a certain player.

Well...I guess that means we are screwed against Kentucky. Dobbs was able to run out of Butch’s crappy offensive plays. Guarantano needs to learn how to do the same.

Butch was 1-4 in the SEC in Dobbs' first year as a starter, right on par with JG/QD. This is a stupid stat as Dobbs' was the only starter that has played multiple years. Everybody else has been one and done aside from QD / JG

Yeah without him 2015 would have probably been the end.. They would have gave him 3 years no matter what.. He should send him a thank you note and half his salary for the extra two years he bought him..

Yes, Butch owes two years of his tenure to Dobbs.

My pointing this out as we were racking up points was part of what led to me being labeled a perpetual nega-vol.

For years I've openly and loudly wondered what good is a zone read O that never reads. Look back at the majority of JD's yards. They weren't off read plays.

This scheme is pathetic and it was last year too. We just had a better play caller and a dynamic QB.

This is possibly the worst scheme I've seen at any level of football and I've thought so since Worley was here.

The heart of the read offense is allowing your QB to keep it 6-8 times a game to keep the ends and lbs honest.

A delayed handoff without ever having a threat off the edge is nothing more than a slow developing dive every single running play.

May the pretend-zone-read offense die a quick death.
