Just read an ESPN article comparing Dobbs and Knight with their running ability but I had no idea that Dobbs' 10 2nd half TD passes lead FBS. I knew we were outperforming teams in the 2nd half by a wide margin but didn't realize he lead FBS until I read this. So much for "he can't throw". This guy performs best when the lights are brightest and that's what you want out of your QB. I'm glad he's our QB and I wouldn't trade him for anyone else in the country.

Could not agree more. Dobbs is the man.

Maybe Dobbs can turn it on during the first half for a change..would make the game much easier to win.

Now if only Butch Jones would let him loose from the start rather than waiting until we go down 2-3 TDs before utilizing him.

The second half of this game should be absolutely amazing. Texas A&M has outscored its opponents 108-34in the second half; while the Vols have a 114-38 advantage. I'm not sure I've EVER seen two teams come into a game so similar to each other.

For instance, both fan bases....

- are concerned about how their OLines will perform,
while feeling great about their DL; especially the
monster DE's

- are concerned about the inconsistencies with their QB
Both show flashes of brilliance and meh.

- are concerned about their DB and linebacker play

- feel good about their WR's/running backs and special
teams

- feel like their team is on the verge of blowing someone
away if they can only put four good quarters together

Can the teams be any more similar? Geez, even Smokey and Reveille could trade some good stories back and forth!

More like will Butch and DeBord let him?

We simply run a different offense when we fall behind 2-3 TDs than when we're tied or ahead.

In the first quarter we always run on first down and constantly throw screen passes. It isn't until we fall behind that we start throwing the ball downfield and start mixing passes and runs on first down.

The problem with our slow starts is coaching.

Did you quit watching the games when you quit posting? I'm guessing it's butch's and debord's fault that the receivers dropped 5 passes in the first half against Florida and the fumbles against Georgia must be their fault too

Dobbs' 2nd-half TD passes last year, 5 in 26 quarters.

This year, 10 in 10 quarters.
