Do you want him back?

C'mon orangepit, gives us the details, you act like your so much in the know. You can do better give it us the inside scoop.

I've been in South Dakota, Wyoming and Montana for the last 9 days (still here). limited with access so don't have specifics. could be either or both of the exam / weed issues.

Bottom line, he had way too much rope and qay too many chances. can't really blame Dooley. when your team is so under talented, you give your more talented players the extra rope but DR never tried to help CDD. He was only interested in himself.

the players over whelmingly are happy about this. the number of friends DR had on this team can be counted on one hand. should be a real positive for the program. doesn't mean we win 10 games, but it certainly brings team much closer.

all the PR on how well DR has been doing was pure horse hockey. anyone that believed all that was duped big time.

Wow, didn't realize that it was this bad.

Just dropped in to see if we're over the meltdown yet. Obviously NOT !!! Yeah, I agree. Just do away with discipline. Never won any ball games anyways. Geez.

OP is 100% correct

posters piling on and blindly defending can bite me

100% right about believing that the football world revolves around them? Rogers screwed up, not Dooley... unless you are contending that he should have never taken a chance on him in the first place. Dooley in fact gave DR more chances than he likely deserved.

Assuming that DR is gone for good... you nor the OP even know if the decision was in Dooley's hands. Some policy decisions aren't.

It stinks. But DR is an adult now and responsible for his own decisions.

I know an 18 year old kid who is using the GI bill to pay for college through the National Guard. His job requires a high security clearance and a completely clean legal record. He got cited for "minor in possession" of alcohol last New Year's Eve. He lost the job he wanted but was fortunate that they had another he could get. He had to attend classes and jump through all sorts of legal hoops to avoid losing his chance to go to college. His commander and a whole bunch of other officers had to sign off on an "exception" to even get the job he got.

His crime? He's a 3.0 student who has always been more responsible than his years. He went out to have fun with some friends. They were going from one party to another with a designated driver driving his car. It was pulled over for a missing front plate. The officer asked if they had alcohol or had been drinking. They told the truth and OPENED THE TRUNK where he found part of a 12 pack and a fifth of alcohol. This was his ONLY brush with the law or any other authority... EVER. He's the kind of kid that teachers say they want their kids to be like.

He is having to endure months of military training under the authority of instructors in a place he doesn't want to be to get something relatively close to what UT has BEGGED Rogers to take and just not screw up. He's not going to graduate to the NFL draft. He could be called up and have to put his college career on hold to defend Rogers' right to be an absolute idiot and waste.

To blame Rogers' idiocy on anyone but Rogers is not only ridiculous but insulting to the millions who do not have the world delivered to them on a silver platter. He did... and then spat on it.

Funny seeing Rogers do the step over on Honey Badger....both kicked off their team in the last couple weeks. Waste of talent.

My source on the team said most of them hate Da'Rick and are glad he's gone - particularly some senior leaders
