Do you want him back?

Now that he is gone, no I don't want him back.

If this had been announced as a 1 or 2 game suspension, then yes, I would want him back.

But as hard as it is to say, I think the team is better off without him.

Hell yes I would want him back!!

Are you crazy?

Everyone in this thread that said no is either ignorant, or just plain not a vol fan. There, I said it.

No
This is not his first mistake. Time to cut bait and move on with players who want to be here.
Being here means following TEAM rules like others must do.

If the Vols move the ball up and down the field with him on the team, his "problems" aren't affecting the team performance. I want the guy that caught 9 TD's last season.

No

I think CDD should have just followed through with the suspension when it slipped to the media a while back. CDD trying to keep it quiet and act as though all was fine makes the situation look even worse now. I would guess alot of the kids fighting at WR for reps wondered why DR was getting all the chances. Something tells me a kid at 6th on the depth chart would not get to screw up 52 times.

i think they like him but his act is stale. Some of the comments from the players and Dooley's comments about their reaction were interesting to hear. As if they knew it would happen.

Of course people will argue that nothing good can come from this, but imo, an event like this can pull a team together. There is time to change the plan and it's not the shock factor of JH going down.
We shall see. It sucks, but oh well. Still ready to watch us play.

I agree. I think we're in much better shape to handle this kinda situation now than we were last year.

This team needs leaders. Da'Rick is not one. But he has constantly been in the spotlight as one of the faces of this team. I'm at peace with seeing him go.

If there was a guarantee he would play out the season then get his butt in the draft, absolutely i want him back FOR THIS YEAR. everyone saying we dont need him is kidding themselves. DR is the cornerstone for the receiving corps. If jh11 is still wobbly on his knee, we wouldve still had ricky. If cp comes on slow, we wouldve still had ricky. If the freshmen cant contribute, we wouldve still had ricky. We have tons of talent, but only had one proven commodity. I dont care what all the self righteous posters on here say, Da'rick Rogers was a very important member of our team and its a damn shame this has happened.

Hindsight being what it is....

It would have been better if they had moved on in the spring and our #4 and #5 guys got more prep time. Its never a good time to lose a SEC 1st team talent (and prolly a 1st round pick) but it happening a week before the first game is a terrible distraction along with the loss.

Tough spot to be in. The program needs some good mo, and it needs it early. This is not helping at all even if he was a cancer.

Really tired of the problem child and his antics. Let him sit out this season with Honey Badger and let someone who really wants to be on the field play.

You're an idiot.

Yeah, i'm an idiot bc I want our ALL SEC WR back and don't have the confidence in a run game that has questions marks all over it, JH who is recovering from a ACL injury, and a Juco WR who has yet to play a down yet, to score on 1 of the best defenses in the country. Just being realistic.

So what?? We won 5 games with him last year!! In the long run we are better without this fool!!

And without Bray. If we had Bray we would have won more. Stop acting like this loss wont hurt us. I said it once, ill say it again, it will cost us at least 2 games. My guesses are MSU and UF.

Absolutely. If its for a failed drug test and whinning because he cant play in the GA dome, just make his ass run steps. We need this guy. I think this is blowing WAY out or proportion.

Just means that somebody's gotta step up. This is Wide Receiver U for a reason.

I have not seen any facts backing your cancer statment. I have not seen a single team member make that accusation, just a bunch of vn posters say that. Of course I would take him back.

HL said they would simply move on . No problem. NO TEARS. Not everyone loved DR.

I would want him back just because the lineup with him In the slot with hunter and cp on the edges might be one of the most talented group of recievers to wear the orange.

Cancer is the wrong word. DR does not kill people. -- He has had enough around him to get started on the path of success. Most never do. He has totally disregarded this chance. Time for him to move on and get his priorities straight. I don't know how kids think a scholarship is the end of their journey. It is only the beginning. -- Tennessee is bigger than one kid.

Does not say he dislikes either. What is he supposed to say. " oh crap, wr lost our one proven receiver, and I think we will be worse this year than last, don't come to the games". No, they will try to move forward, but that is alot of talent to overcome.
