Do you think we will build another Jumbo tron.

This is so correct. Those stupid TVs take the crowd right out of the game. My first game was the 79 UCLA game with "only" something like 86,000 fans... it was loud.. it was crazy, and it was the reason I fell in love with Tennessee football. Now it is like watching a pro game.. I'd rather tear the one we have out..

Yes it is so much easier to get the players to re run the play for a replay. I bet you think cell phones aren't useful either.

Alabama thinks this is an awesome idea. They're half way there.

I think we need a Jumbotron in both end zones. The problem with putting one in the opposite end zone of the current Jumbotron is we'd have to remove the cover along the top, which might not make some season ticket holders in that area very happy.

I'd love to be the largest stadium in the country again, but first we have to figure out where we'd put another 8-10k seats and then put bodies in them.

Answer = Glass bottom field. Gotta be room for at least 35,000-40,000 under the playing surface.

The atmosphere has really deteriorated since the installation of the Jumbotron. The stadium has been neutered from the good ole days. The show was on the field back then now it is on the tube.

Just offering an opinion bra. I like 100,000 screaming rednecks rather than commercials for Bob Dance Chevrolet. But that's just me. Oh, and cell phones have their place.. it doesn't define my life.

They are watching the exact same thing. Why would where they are watching it in the stadium change the volume?

Call me a snob, but I like the jumbotron. One of the things I dislike about going to High School football is you can't watch a replay of the prior play.

Agreed. Or just show replays only

Why don't we just put in three more and have one on every side of the stadium? That would make it really really cool!

It needs one giant wraparound jumbomegatronaton that encompasses the entire upper deck and plays loud jingles constantly while flashing all-color lights and making loud explosion sounds on every play (in between commercials). That would be awesomer than Warcraft 2050 XVIII.

I think people stop celebrating sometimes to turn and watch the jumbo trons. I mean I've caught myself stopping mid rocky top to see a replay.

Yeah I can see that. I usually just keep on going with my celebration.

Then Micheal Oher could have seen the dead people that was gonna reach up and grab him!

That's true. Maybe seats on top of the pressboxes then with built in telescopes. That's where we'd put the opposing fans.
