Do you think the Berry twins will see time next season?

From his film Elliott is a definite line backer. Doesn't look like he has the hips to be a DB. The thing that impressed me the most was he appears to be very disciplined with his assignments. Thats the key to a great player.

First of all, if they are half as good as their brother then yeah, they both will see time. But i honestly think Elliot will see more than Evan, we need more speed at the linebacker spot, and he seems fairly quick, both physically and also in the decisions he makes during the plays. I agree about the comment about him and Bates. They may rotate at the 3rd LB spot regardless if Johnson stays or not.

Evan is the fastest, as he was state champion in the 100 meters.

I believe that was a later year. I remember him being a sophomore on the NC team. You're right though. It seemed like Westmoreland made every single tackle on ST his freshman year.

You're probably right that it was 96...been so long the memory isn't crystal clear anymore :)

I do remember several of our young guys making impact plays though...Goodrich was a ballhawk from his freshman year

I think Elliot is a more physical player than Evan and will eventually be an absolute stud at OLB. He just needs to add about 30 lbs and lets be realistic here... it'll take him 2 years to add 30 lbs of good weight. I agree with the poster who said he will be the 2014 version of JRM on special teams. Very phyical and instinctive player

We could put all of our FR on special teams and it would be a drastic improvement...

They won't get to play just because they are a "Berry" but because they will earn it. We don't need to compare them to Eric as they are only freshmen. Patience.

They're better than a lot of guys that started for us this year.

Patience won't be necessary here

Completely agree... No way Elliot is a DB...

Well of course they're gonna play.

Real question is - what number are they gonna wear? Priorities.

Yes....we will see them both this year. Loving this legacy class. They all come from great families and have tons of talent. Can't wait to see what Elliot and Evan can do....but we have to have patience. The Berry family means a lot to Tennessee!

Specifically Elliott, I for one believe he is the most underrated recruit of the class. I'm no scout but just watch his film and you have to be excited. Good ball skills and tackles with attitude. Most of us think he will be a defensive player, the only question is where does he play? OLB? SS? I could easily see him and Bates battling for a shot into the two deep rotation at OLB this season.

For those who haven't seen Elliott's film here it is.

Elliott Berry - Hudl

GO VOLS, Butches!

if we miss on scott i could see elliott getting some looks at RB - also think he will be a good special teams player for us year 1

i think Evan will be in 2 deep at 1 of corner spots and battle to start

so yes, i think both will def see time
