What happens between Sept 3 and Oct 8th will make this a match up or mis-match.
From that we/UT, have Oct 9 until Oct 22 to size up Bamma. Thats a well deserved break after UAB, UF, LSU, OMU and GA.

That week off before the bama game makes the bammers just as mad as anything.

I say a close one, based on pure emotions. Look at two years ago when we had a 4-9 season.

The talent and experience level provides a vast gulf between these two teams this year.

If UT takes care of business this could get ugly and I'm predicting that it will.

If Fulmer gets the chance to put a big one on Bama you have to know he will do it.

Regardless of win or loss, there will be no blowouts. We are returning the best secondary in the SEC as well as the #3 total defense in the nation. You are gonna pay for every point you put on the scoreboard.

Thats ok. We can afford to pay. We are deep at almost every position. Everybody wants to talk about Bamas defense, but I havent heard much on their offense. All I have read and heard is it hinges on a healthy Brodie Croyle, from what I have been reading. Does that mean that Bama cant keep up if Croyle goes down? In contrast, look at UT. Take away any one player and we are still OK (possible exceptions are Jason Allen and Parys Haralson)

Uh, we didnt have our entire starting backfeild against UT last year, you must have missed that game. I realize we lost, but it was a nail biter and UT had 1, yes 1, yard on offense in the first half. We are going to put up a fight any way you want to look at it. Maybe pay was the worng word and i should have used earned, i think some took it the wrong way. There will be no cakewalks in Tuscaloosa, bet your ass on it.

You seem to be one of the very rare Bama fans with some sense about you. Its people like you who make this UT-BAMA rivalry a great one. Boy I miss the days when we all got to have a good time during the 4th sat. in oct.

:good:

Big rivalry game here and it should be a close one. Bama has played UT tough lately.

I think this will be the year where we lay a licking on them. In the aftermath of the Logan Young, Finebaum and Gallion episode of slander and hate, the Vols will show up in Tuscaloosa ready to shoot to kill. Our team's depth this year will be secondary to speed and skill that will provide a huge advantage over an Alabama team that is still not up to SEC level in experienced skill or depth.

thats why i said maybe pay was the wrong word, since we are the only team that pays players. I understand the whole win/loss thing as i mentioned in my post. Hypotheticly....we dont fumble the ball in the first series, where does that leave UT? You got it, losing.
