Do you think Tennessee will start off the 2009 season as a top #25 team?

I surely hope we do not start there...Like the previous post we do not need to do as the basketball team has done...I would much rather us fly under the radar and just play fundemental football...It all plays out in the end and I will wait till then to be recognized...Damn is September here yet?!

If all the ******** teams would get tossed out of the top 25 like Boise St, Utah, etc. Then I could see Tenn get in.

i agree, but to think that starting out in the top 25 helps your chances in securing a BCS bowl, if said miracle were to happen. :)

Most of you people have very realistic outlooks, which is something I greatly respect. The rest of you... I've got a couple of bridges for sale. Anyone interested.

beware, the bridges in Alabama look like this....

If we are the luckiest team in the world, one or two polls out of 200 or so will have us in the top 25 next year. Doesn't mean we can't work our way up with some quality games. But honestly why would they put us there? As far as the media is concerned wie have the exact same team that sucked donkey #@$@ last year, only now with a completely unproven coach. We all know how much the media loved Fulmer. What a silly question to ask...will we start in the top 25...

I just hope we are extremely competitive, chalk up a few marquee wins, then worry about rankings. (we beat fla & spiral up into the top 15 !!) cant help to be optimistic

You might have had a chance if you came into Gainesville unnoticed, but Mr. Kiffin's coments have just about guaranteed a ESPN College Gameday visit, and a very enthusiastic Gator fan base ready to welcome Lane and his lovely wife into the fall classic that is SEC football.

ESPN will not give UT any breaks---they've been writing negative stuff about Kiffin the whole time.

the above message is sacriligeous. Utah is tattood on Sabans forehead for at least the next five years. Sugar bowl infamy that should never die.

Anyone that puts us in the preseason top 25 is an idiot, especially with our QB situation.

I am, however, anxious to see what the new staff does with our QB options. I think we may have more talent there than we saw on the field last year. Depends on how well they are developed in the off season.
