Allegedly his agency is trying to figure out if he’s in line for the No. 1 pick next year. If he’s top 5 next year that would certainly be enough of a boost to make it worthwhile to come back, assuming that he would get a strong NIL check. He would need to hedge against injury with an insurance policy, as that may drop him out of the lottery next year. Worst case scenario, he comes back healthy and does not show any development, drops out of the lottery without insurance kicking in.

I think that he should come back and he would benefit greatly from doing so, but I would put it at 50/50.

Yes, thus why I didn't reply Yes or No to the poll. No one really knows what he is going to do until more info comes out, just a lot of wishful thinking. It wasn't even 50/50 until today.

I heard all the reasons why it's obvious he goes NBA but the thing thats obvious to everyone is his underdeveloped frame, he looks like a high school junior. I think his chances of injury are extremely high if he gets drafted and sent to the G-League to play with grown men. He looked like a high school kid with great talent trying to play in college last season.

No. I think people have talked themselves silly into thinking he will come back. I always see rationalizations as to why Ament right return, emotional bargains or biased reasoning, but nothing that really justifies why he would want to return for another year.

Were this 2000, or an era where loyalty had more value, I might be swayed. But this is a professional sport with professional players. They aren't going to stay unless they come out of it with a bigger payday, and all signs point to him making more in the draft. Top 10 picks get anywhere from 20-60 million bucks. He's gonna take that. Anyone would take that.

I don't see any reason why someone, in his position, would not come back for another year. He's got 10-15 years of time to play NBA ball. College is unique and more fun. Enjoy it while you can. And still make millions of $. Then make more in the NBA with a higher draft position. Seems obvious.

It's a dichotomy in terms of the choice but I wouldn't say odds are 50/50. I'd say more like 25/75 he goes.
