Just like Berry. . .why risk getting hurt when you can get paid in the NFL?

Speculation at this point is a moot point. Ask the question at the end of the season.

At present moment, he is not NFL material, talent maybe but the that is not enought. He is not a total package yet but some think he is but in reality he is not.

Game management and strength are what will matter. His head space and timing. Not there but we have a season to go to make that determination.

Bray really has proven anything on the field yet and has not carried this team on his shoulders. In reality, forced throws against NC State (interception) Vanderbilt (Interception) and the Ky Loss with the flu.

So the leadership and then take off to the NFL, but right now no.

Oh, not saying he is NFL material now. If he is at the end of the season I was just stating who wouldn't just go to the NFL instead of playing another year? Might as well make the money when you can.

The other factor that might play a role would be how much Worley or Peterman develop into true contenders for the starting job...

Will all depend on two things:
1. Financial status of his family - loved Peyton staying but having a rich dad helps
2. Projected draft status. If he's a projected 1st rounder - he's gone; low 2nd round or lower he stays. IMHO

Truly think he is doing the right things in the off season to get there. I think he will come to play in the fall.

Taking this team and just solid leadership will make put him on the mark. I honestly thinks he stays regardless of the year he has and I think he needs two more years with a good team. His first two years have been in a learning curve mode for all players.

He has the support now its just a matter of managing it properly. This is what the NFL will look at first. Another point can he carry this team when needed. Can he put the game on his shoulders late in the 4th Qtr and make the plays to win the big game.

He has the talent to do it, but it will come down to his mental prowess which will determine if it is next year or after. I think he is two years out because of supporting staff and the status of our team when he arrived add to it the injury.

I believe he's gone after 2012 barring injury. I also believe it's in his best interest to return. Look at the QB's that wash out after leaving school early.

I hope he does. If Bray and Da'Rick + 1 other receiver leave next year, it will be because they had a huge 2012 season. We need that around here.

$1m arms and $1 heads went the way of Ryan Leaf. Tyler has a lot to prove before he even gets a sniff as a early draft pick. Risk/reward ratio for any NFL team, other than the Raiders, does not cut it.

I say he does, though I don't think he should. He needs a little more experience under his belt.

Bray has it on his twitter info that he "is bring Tennessee back to the top" and I think he really does want to do that. He wants to be the QB that puts us back on the map. I feel like he really loves Tennessee and is REALLY enjoying his time here. hah I just think he is gonna stay all 4 years and Hunter will stay if he does or vice versa. I think we come back with Bray, Hunter, Patterson in 2013. 2013 team will be loaded with talent.

Jamarcus Russell and David Carr laugh.

Some really interesting comments. The reality is if he decides to come out after next year Ut has had a great year or Bray has pulled anther stupid blunder like comments after Ky game of not wanting to play in a crappy bowl. That will haunt him along time.To play at the next level you must be very mature and lets face it he ain't there yet.The big issue is he is frail and will always be that way.His quick release is a plus.He seems to be doing all the right things in the community so maybe he is growing up.

Voice of reason. Maturity and football IQ is the name of the game......... at all positions.

Let's change the question: if TN wins the East Division but Doesnt pull out the win in ATL and he is projected in the first round does he return?

What if the vols win the Sec title?

TB & DR win the Olympics! Then the presidency! Then the Nobel Prize.

Both need to be shown the door.

It's according to how we do and how the pro scouts grade him. If they grade him like his first projections (that he was 1st round, #1 qb type rating) which I doubt, regardless of how we do and that's just because he's missed so much time and hasn't progressed quite as far in game management as the pro scouts would have liked.
So, my answer is NO!

Yes, his dad will have a big influence. He is gone even if he is a projected 2nd to 3 rd round, in my opinion. Before he came out to Tennessee, the comment "2 and out" was made. Meaning 2 years and gone. So I say yes....

2 and out doesn't make any sense

Bray was 6th in the Division 1 in passing efficiency last season before he got injured.
If he has similar numbers next season, which I believe he will, I think he is gone.
He will get a high NFL draft projection and leave IMO.

I hope UT decides to throw 40 times a game next season and let Bray and Rogers play.

Bray has not proven himself.
He needs two more years with some good numbers.
