Do you like the uniforms

At this point we are undefeated in them. I liked them last year. After seeing them again...I like them less. But, we can't get rid of them until we lose in them. Superstitious? Absolutely! But I'll take any edge we can get. Today we beat our 2nd big rival in them. Let's wear them for the Bama game. :dance2:

No....we lost to UGA the first year we wore them when pig fumbled the ball out of the end zone....

The whole "players and recruits love it" stuff is more real than you think. Don't know how to explain it really, but there's just something about wearing an alternate uniform that puts a little extra pep in your step. I will say I'm glad they didn't go with a black alternate, because those have become a tad cliché and played out. The fact that they incorporated the history of UT football with the smokey grey uniforms (not to mention the brilliant addition of the Smoky Mountains on the helmet) makes it seem more special than just any ole school throwing on some junk that has no meaning behind it. Just my two cents.

The black jerseys they wore on Halloween in 2009? Those were the definition of thrift store gimmick uni's, and were semi-embarrassing. Not even in the same universe as these grey uni's.
I totally understand the whole "IF IT AIN'T ORANGE AND WHITE IT SUCKS" traditionalist thing, but as long as they keep it to a minimum only for special/big games, and the players and recruits love it..... they'd be lunatics for not doing it..

Oh, btw, those "thrift store rejects" you speak of? They were voted the best new uniform of the 2015 season by a site that ALLLL those recruits follow. No worries, you won't ever [get to] put one on. Just sit back, relax, and enjoy the ride..

THIS!

If the men(and women) wearing them like them, that's good enough for me.

GBO!!!

Hope they are wearing Storm Troopers in Sanford Stadium Saturday that's my favorite uni.

Probably are, but I'd rather see orange pants. We haven't worn the white jerseys/orange pants combo since 2013.

I never thought I'd see us wearing all orange more than than that combo.

YES ORANGE AND WHITE,, What I grew up watching and what the VOLS SHOULD BE IN....

Oregon built a football dynasty by basically saying "look at what you get to wear". Oregon has little to no notable football history or tradition. But they do have Phil Knight.

I just don't think they come close to being as sharp as the traditional orange jerseys and white pants. Don't think the players really like them better. Need to stay with our colors and national brand. CBS announcer expressed disappointment we didn't wear our traditional orange and white.

Ah yes, the guidelines that magically added gray just before Adidas announced their smokey gray uniforms. I remember that. And I remember people pointing to the branding guide as if to say "see, it says gray right here!" Never mind that the guide was updated to show gray only recently -- people would still try to use that as argument as if gray had always been a primary color. Just silly. Moreover, brand guides change all the time. Rules change all the time. Tennessee's colors are orange (PMS 1375, I don't care a whit for that 151 nonsense as daisy orange is a yellowish-orange shade and every photo in history shows our orange as being lighter), white, baby blue and black for accents where needed, and that's that.

And for the record, I love the gray alternates, they're great. Got no problem with it. Good uniforms are good uniforms. Home orange? Great. Road whites, I mean those late 90s road whites? Gooo-oooood stuff.

The players definitely like wearing them. Follow some of the players on Instagram or Twitter and see how many pictures they post of those uniforms.

Also, if it pisses Verne off I'm all for it.

They are sharp as hell.

I get tired of traditional crowd griping about them.

Love orange and white and the stormtrooper look... but I think Nike did a really cool job with these (crapload better than the black jersey and previous gray) and UT plays a million home games so I like seeing them once a year.

Thrift store rejects. Embarrassing, you don't see the traditional power house teams wearing gimmick colors or alternative uniforms. Time to stop the lunacy.

Who cares what others do? With that said. ND has Alternates. Michigan has, lots of other schools do it. If nothing ever changed, what a boring life we would have.

And for the record, gray is a part of UT's color palette
