I hope they win the SECCG... I don't hate Auburn. I hate Bama. I hate Florida. I hate Vandy. I strongly dislike Georgia. I hate NotreDame.

I live in Alabama so therefore I work with a split department which is about half auburn, half bama fans. We have me and one Mississippi state fan to complete the mode.

A quick story to tell you the difference in Auburn/Bama fans.

In 1998 when the vols played Florida State in first BCS game. Auburn fans cheered on UT. Bama fans were yelling for Florida State.

When Bama played for their National championships, the auburn fans cheered on the tide ( on behalf of the state and SEC)

WHen Auburn played Oregon, the Bamers cheered for Oregon. Can I hear a quack quack. I must have heard that 100 times

WHen I go to Auburn to watch UT play, I'm always treated nicely, and have good converstations with fans around me.

At Tuscaloosa, its not always so pleasant.

Do I hate Auburn. NO
But I have lost my SEC loyalty, I used to cheer for any SEC team against an outsider but not any more. I only cheer for the Big Orange. Other SEC teams winning NC's doesnt help our rebuilding effort.

Was at the Auburn game this year. And a group of frat boys from AU were singing Good Ole Rocky Top last in the SEC. Bunch of Alabama trash if you ask me. Was only with my lady, her first game too. So nothing I could do but tell them to STFU, which they actually did. Bunch of scared little Punks

HATE???? Here's my take. I don't hate any of our opponents in the SEC. Do I want the Vols to beat the War Eagle, Elephant, Bull Dog, Gator, Cock (well, you get it) out of 'em? Absolutely!!! Here is what I hate.

I loathe the fact that starting in 1970, after Doug Dickey's departure, the school administration and the athletic director did not make a good choice for HC. Up until THEN, the Vols and the Bammers were neck and neck in wins and losses against each other. After Bama reeled off 11 (PAINFUL AND HARD TO SWALLOW) wins in a row, the series between the two had little resemblance of a rivalry. SO, if any hate is exuded it is against the administration of the university for allowing maybe the most proud, storied program in the country to decay into a 2nd rate program.

I hate the fact that once coach Majors made the scene that it took another 4 or 5 years to beat Bama.

I hate the fact that our coaching staff, while having equal or superior talent to the Gators most years, has something like a 7 and 18 record against them since the time when Head Ball Coach took over the program in Gainesville.

And here's what I maybe hate the most. For all the good things that CPF did for the program, I HATE the fact that he became complacent in recruiting, assistant coach selection and passion. I hate the fact the the administration and the athletic director did not grab that bull by the horns when it started in decline and do SOMETHING sooner. Not necessarily FIRING CPF but at least get an understanding of the issues and do something to help. That's what administration and athletic directors are for . . . to "direct". THIS is what has gotten us to an all time low as evidenced by the fact that we have 4 consecutive losing seasons, we've lost to Vandy twice in a row for the first time in nearly a century, yada, yada, yada!

THESE things are what I hate. For me, to HATE someone or something implies that you FEAR it. I don't fear any of the aforementioned teams.

Come on guys. Some of you are scaring me. Listen it's okay to sit back with friends to watch a game. But some of you with your War Eagle and wearing Auburn gear is crossing the line. We are Volunteers, end of story.

Wow, I must not be a real fan. I really don't HATE any of the teams. That doesn't mean I don't want us to squash their little heads like bugs though.:)

I hate Auburn, but I'm apathetic about the SEC CG so I don't really care if they win or lose.

Why do I hate Auburn? Mostly because of Trooper Taylor and the recruiting battles we've had with Auburn the last several years. Add to that Cam Newton getting paid and the NCAA sweeping it under the carpet while looking to nail us for that herpes virus that is Lane Kiffin. Throw in some jealousy of their recent success and memories of past games pre-SEC expansion into two divisions. Shake it all up, and yes, I hate Auburn.

I certainly wouldn't ever call myself anything close to an Auburn fan, but they are to only other team in the conference that I can stomach.
That is only because their two biggest rivals just so happen to be the two teams I hate the most. Alabama and Georgia.

Anybody who beats Bammer is my friend for a while.

I hated the Barners just a notch below Bammer back in the day of when we played every year though. Florida pretty much replaced them when the SEC went east and west and we now play Florida every year.

I will cheer for Auburn tomorrow.

I graduated from there and consistently wore Tennessee clothing and was never once disrespected. Everyone I spoke with there had no problems with Tennessee and they actually liked us.

We share a mutually hatred of Bama.
To answer the question I like Auburn and hope they win it all.

Side note: one of the most beautiful campuses in the South.
