I believe he is a talented young player, but I also believe that the strengths of his skill set are different than JD. That is, he's not going to have the improvisational elusiveness that JD used last year to make a lot of amazing plays out of something that was broken.
He does seem to throw the ball fairly well, and in as much as I have seen him play, he doesn't appear intimidated by the pace and power of the game at this level.
The bigger, and perhaps better, question is "do you think Debord and the coaching staff could re-shape the offense to give Dormady a chance to win?" The answer is yes. In fact, I would guess they already have a strong sense of what parts would work well, what would not and what they would do differently in the event that JD went down.
I DO NOT want it to happen, but if the defense is as good as its potential, I think the team could win with Dormady.
