Do you feel a little frustration

I feel Alabama also continued to improve after the TN game and dominated the remaining games on their schedule, including yesterday. I don't feel TN made much progress late in the year. I don't think a rematch between AL and TN would be that close if the two teams played now.

Keep in mind bama had a real rough stretch before playing us as we had a bye right before.
Next year it's reversed

The first sentence tells the story. Michigan St is really good and better than we are, despite what happened last night . I mean, is Toledo better than us because they beat Arkansas and Arkansas beat us? Come on people.

Possibly but think us vs MSU would be a toss up in all honesty.

Vegas favors us by 4.5 on a neutral site. If we beat Northwestern today that total goes up. Even in Michigan's home turf they favor us by 1.5.

Michigan had the 26th toughest SoS this year. TN had the 5th and lost to the top two teams all regular season by a combined 12 points. TN probably wins any other conference outside of the SEC this year according to Vegas. I could argue in the ACC or Pac 12 TN is undefeated right now even. TN is just a matchup nightmare for teams when healthy.

And we haven't beaten the current Iowa team. Last season isn't this season.

We would have waxed Iowa AGAIN this year if we had played them. It would have been the exact same result as the Clemson vs Oklahoma game. Last year Clemson waxed Oklahoma 40-6 in their bowl game and did it again last night in the Orange Bowl.

Tennessee has a far better team this year than last year and Iowa was only undefeated and ranked because they played the "worst" schedule of any Power 5 conference team this year.

Tennessee would have beaten Iowa by 20 points or more this year ... book it!

I'm frustrated that Bama won, and I don't even have the consolation prize of OU winning so at least I can hear about how they compare their games against the Vols for the next week.

The big ten is a joke..
4-Year Graduation Rate NW: 85%
4-Year Graduation Rate TN: 39%
(source US News & World Report)

NW may get blown out today, but academics Big10 tends to be better over the SEC.

Having said that, da Bears LOVED Vol Doug Atkins, a true monster of the midway, a freak of nature who you don't want to anger, very proud of him, RIP.

Truth is we could've competed in the playoffs and been formiddable. Watched #5 & #6 Iowa v Stanford and we are better than those teams as well. But, didn't take care of business. Frustrated? Not at all. But do feel we were good enough to be in that group behind ALA and Clemson. Highly excited for next year!

I know for a fact we were. We were talented enough to win it all this year.

Dude, we appreciate the love for Doug Atkins but talking graduation rates after a beat down is lame. A football game was played today not a quick recall challenge. But, hey, I can quickly recall how many times we picked off NW today....and how bout' that Evan Berry pick 6?! 🤓😂😉

I said Its Great - 2 B - a Tennessee Vol!

Northwestern fans pointing to their report cards after a football loss is as meaningful as a Bama fan pointing to a national championship trophy when interviewing for an elite academic job.
