he's too busy working to be talking... besides talk is cheap as we have all found it... Dooley is letting his body of work speak for itself... it's not surprising at all... just look at his carrer path... this guy is a winner who has made the best of his situations... he doesn't make excuses...

I think we heard so much bluster from the last coach that amounted to nothing in the end but empty, broken promises that this coach IMO is doing everything he can to show us more than tell us. He's making a conscious effort to prove himself through actions, not words...

He hasnt had time to breathe probably. I'll get to know him after wed.lol I like what he has done so far though. Looks like a good class of recruits, has made some good hires, etc. I hope the DC is a good one. Then its on to the next phase, can he run the program during the season? I think he will do good.:clapping:

I understand your concern, but I think he is just to busy recruiting and finishing hiring a coaching staff. After NSD we'll probably hear more from DD.

How long did it take you to figure out exactly who the last coach was?

Yeah I see what you mean. This time last year we were used to seeing Kiffin's face on PTI or ESPN on what seemed like a daily basis. Dooley has kept it low key and has got himself in the news the right way by getting big name and lesser known players to visit or commit.

DD knows the spotlight will be on him the minute NSD is over. He is working hard, trying to wrap up a solid recruiting class and finalizing his coaching staff. All the puff pieces about how he got to this point and where he is going will just have to wait.

The only thing strange is we have not been accused of a secondary violation in awhile. And that, is a good thing. :good!:

DD's dealing with alot more than just recruiting at this point. He's dealing with sabotage. He seems like quite the multi-tasker though. Recruiting the caliber kids he has while getting the coaching hires we've seen is nothing short of amazing (all things considered)

We may have suspected it...but how many of us knew this was our coach last year?

I'm sorry........I don't buy this about CDD not communicating. How long does it take to give a short phone interview? You can do it on the way to the airport if need be. Yes, he's been very busy, yes, he has a lot on his plate, but public relations is part of the job. He knew that from his years his dad spent with UGA. I like CDD, just not his silence.

I would rather him be out on the trail getting these recruits in since he's only had three weeks to do it and have a press conference about how good our class ended up, instead of braggin about stuff he plans to do. "i.e. X"

I like the fact that we have a lawyer that acts like a coach instead of a coach that acts like a lawyer... That's what I always thought of X, he had a lot to say and not a whole lot to back it up with.

You can be a really good speaker and a really shatty leader at the same time and ppl still want to follow you. Until, of course, you lead them where they don't want to be.

Well give him a call then, maybe he just doesnt want to make the same mistake X did by running his mouth too much and not having the cahonies to back it up.:neener2:

I'd rather him be out recruiting than flapping his gums in front of television/boosters/(insert media outlet here)...

Seriously, get over yourself. You act like you deserve to hear something from him.

Actually I find it rather refreshing after hearing every time the spoiled brat farted/burped or figured out he could get attention by insulting people.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't Saban known for being a little less than friendly with the media. Satan does his standard appearances and plays nice to the boosters but the rest of the time he's recruiting and working. He probably is taking a page from that.

Heck CDD didn't even tell his own mother when he was offered the UT job. I don't think he's going to call up KNS or Sports Animal. He would probably do a spot for ESPN if they called but for the most part he is going to work.

Not making a conscious effort at anything. Just being himself.

I am just fine with the lack of communication. He is focused and close to the vest. This will serve a much higher purpose than playing to the media and/or fanbase at this point in his tenure. There will be plenty of time after NSD and before the O&W game to get to know him.
