Do we really need a SECT game?

I'm so sick of people spouting the BS about the CFB regular season being a playoff. Alabama proved all that was complete BS in 2011.

Yup. By definition playoffs eliminate teams. Ain't no eliminating during the regular season. Nor should it be. Look at 2012. 1 loss Bama over undefeated osu. ND in that dang game over osu and 1-loss oregon, why? Just because of being undedeated technically, yet half their games were won by less than a td. Everyone knew it was smash time for them. We should use our brains and look at margin of victories, not just dogmatically eliminating any team that loses once, even twice, and put every undefeated team in. W/L record isn't everything. Ask Vegas, they put their money where thete mouth is. Committee wouldn't do that.

You realize that doesn't have to be the format, right? You just threw it in there.

99% of the people advocating for 8 teams are all saying 5 auto bids from Power 5 conferences, two at large bids, and one group of 5 school if a G5 school finishes in the top 10...... I didn't "just throw it in there"

I'm not sure why your going to bat for UCF, it's strange. Even more strange is that you can't see them getting beat by 50 by anyone in the top 10.
What's strange is that you'd rather let a group of people decide that they (or anybody else for that matter) would get beat by 50, instead of letting them decide it for themselves. They probably would, but I don't know that and neither do you. Anything can happen in a single game elimination.
