Do we play anyone else that can run the ball like GT?

Not that they have a great run game but a QB that is evasive and two RBs that keep our D-Line honest. Tough to defend for sure. What does this look like the rest of the season?

I mean UF had 11 yards on the ground. Every other team plays a more conventional run game.

Can we stop them or are we just gonna give up a lot of yards on the ground this season?

Navy & GT's triple option is in a class of their own. Best way to beat them is get up big EARLY

Alabama and GA have probably the best rushing attacks left. Obviously, we don't have another triple option team left. Hopefully facing more conventional attacks will give us better chances to shut some down.

a lot of dropped passes stalled early drives for us that could have led to us being up early. All night we couldn't stop them and they couldn't stop us we basically stopped ourselves.

Missouri and Vanderbilt had some good RBs last season (at least against UT)

We'll struggle with GA's run game.
Double trouble in their back field.

Yes, this.

Webb for Vandy is also not shabby, and Guice at LSU of course. The other half of our SEC competition is mostly pass-first...though we don't know yet what Florida looks like with their RB (he was suspended vs Michigan).

So it's a 50/50 thing, I'd say. Nothing like the triple-option the rest of the way, but about four more really good rushing offenses.

Everybody left on our schedule will switch to an option offense when they play us after watching us struggle to defend against it

Jk

I'm still concerned with our ability to stop the run. Yes, I understand the triple option is unique and we won't face it again and yes, I understand we had a lot of injuries last year, but I would imagine if you look at the stats over the last 5 or 6 games, our defense is giving up an unbelievably high yards per game.

Our d-line was getting blown off the ball last night. Getting Tuttle back will help, but I'm still concerned.

No body else that runs the triple option but yes definitely teams that can run right through a bad defense.

Yes...we're gonna give up a LOT of yards this season on the run, again...

UGA, Fla, Bama, SCe, Mizzou, LSU...even Vandy....

UNLESS something drastic happens with our DL....

I just don't see ANYONE being able to fix this run defense.

Everyone forgetting about Guice at LSU? He's a fantastic RB and basically their whole offense

No we play teams that can run and pass.

Should make you feel real confident, right?

Alabama, UGA and LSU will gain 300 yards rushing on TENN. The Vols are Too THIN on D (Injuries and Recruiting Deficiencies) Tenn will have to outscore people to win; and that's not a recipe for success.

This is the first time we've faced the triple option since 06 vs Air Force. Ironically we won that game by stopping a 2pt conversion on the last play.
