Do we jump Kentucky in the polls?

Jerry Palm made an update saying we jumped them for a 1 seed so it follows that we jump in the polls as well.

8 quad 1 wins
3 top 20 losses, none of which were at home

Tough for KY to top that.

Number 4 and 6 both lost today and we demolished the number 4 team in the nation, so we should definitely be in the top 5

I don't agree - ACC Bball is like SEC Football - their conference wins are better than our's.

You think we have the same record if we played the ACC schedule?

No disrespect to our team - I love them - but UVA and UNC ahead of us in not a joke

UNC lost to unranked 16-13 Texas. They have 5 losses. We have 0 bad losses, and only 3 losses overall. I realize this is nitpicking, but deciding the top 5 you have to nitpick. Other than beating a Zionless Duke. What have they done to overcome having 2 more losses than us?

You do realize that UNC lost to Louisville and KY both teams we have beaten so to say they are better than us without question is a stretch. UNC has also lost to Texas.

And if you think a 2 loss SEC team would get into the football playoff ahead of a 1 loss ACC team, you're wrong.

Gonzaga shouldn’t be #1 with that weak schedule

Nobody wants to totally punish them for the pedestrian conference schedule. Nothing they can do @ it really. They're a legit team and worthy #1, but it's questionable whether they would be 25-3 w our schedule. NCAAT cures all this.

I didn't say they were better than us - i think we pass KY in the rankings as the forum posed the question - i would take our team vs anybody - but NC (and UVA) have played their way to their positions IN THE POLLS - it may not seem logical - but it's reasoning is far from a joke

I agree with you - I would be wrong if I thought that - but I don't - do you agree that the ACC is a better conference and more of a grind than the SEC in basketball?

Yes, the ACC is a better basketball conference than the SEC, but UT has 3 losses and UNC has 5. Tenn also beat Louisville and Kentucky, but UNC lost to them. They also lost convincingly to Michigan, but hey. They are UNC, so of course they’ll move ahead of Tenn if Tenn loses, not matter what the records.
