We played what’s quite possibly the worst P5 team in the nation. Can we at least see what happens against some SEC teams? Also, I am curious but what makes you even ask this question?

Even if they're the worst, we handled them the way an elite team is supposed to handle weak opposition.

I asked this cause our guys passed the eye test. That d-line looks like the type of d-line that wins national championship. Depth and talent.

I like the voting though. That's the first time I have seen that. Didin't know that was an option.

The quality of the Volunteers defensive line gets revealed when they play the Aggies, Gators, and other SEC teams.

No overreaction to them looking great in 1 game Vs a rebuilding Cavaliers team because that was lightweight lifting.

No. Not even the SEC. When you have 8-10 dudes who can play without a letup in efficacy, then maybe. Couple more croot'n classes.

UGA, LSU, Bama, and A&M are all ahead of us in the SEC alone. We are going to be improved here, I think, but still a way to go.

Virginia has probably the worst OL in the P5 lol. Let’s pump the brakes. Stuff like this is why we are crying that we aren’t demolishing teams once we play equal talent.

I think South Carolina will give them some competition. Hope so…like to see a dozen tack for loss and a negative rushing yard total.

We'll find out who they really are in Gainesville in a couple of weeks.

Dang. Nice Poll ... Top 10 is the worst option.
Pump the brakes a bit. We'll find out in Gainesville whether it's legit or not.

I am confused, the whole purpose of the posted YouTube video was talking about how many people the dline rotates in and out during the game. Don't forget that our defense sees so many plays that even with rotation, everyone gets their snaps.

On a 13-game perspective (hopefully we play more this year), I'm expecting that this year's defense will be on the field fewer plays than last 2 years' defenses (in part because of experience and depth / quality of depth / rotations).

You are correct, but I guarantee that they will see more snaps than just about every other team in the country, which was exactly the selling point we can use. Playing time is always a key point, especially in the ridiculous transfer portal Era.
