Do we have it in us to have a mistake-free game against Bama?

You know you have to play mistake-free with Bama. They will take full advantage of any slight miscues -- let alone major ones. What does it take to keep us from getting rattled and put together the very best game to beat them? Trying to keep hope alive here.

Better players and coaches, and some breaks.

The team that makes the fewest mistakes will win.

We don’t have to perfect, we just have to make fewer mistakes than Alabama.

Let's be realistic here. We REALLY REALLY need a perfect game to have any chance at beating Bama. On top of that they would have to have a bad game. We will need at least +2 turnovers to win this game.

My goodness. Some of you just really dont understand the gap between us and Bama. Look at what Bama did to an ELITE defense. A defense loaded with future NFL players. Ones who have speed and can tackle great. LBs who are good in coverage. They shredded them. We could play mistake free football and Bama could have 3 turnovers and we still lose by 21+.

Yep, let’s just claim a Covid outbreak and cancel.

Bama could turn the ball over 5 times and still win the game going away...We got no offense.

Turnovers and takeaways would help us greatly.

I think a more appropriate question is can we give bama a game? Frankly, other than Henry T, I don't think we have a single player who would be in the two deep much less start for bama.

However I watch every single game with hope......and have since I can remember. I’ll start Saturday with a smile and excitement.....now it may end up that I am bashing Pruitt by the end of it.

But come Saturday (pre game) I’ll have hope.

I'm sorry to kill your optimism...but that ain't happening man. If we can keep it within 20 points...that in itself is a win for the Vols.

I honestly have no idea, but the signs point to “no.”

Turnovers and penalties (and missed tackles, and missed blocks, etc.) are still a problem for us.

One thing about good teams is that they have a way of forcing you into mistakes. So no I don't expect to play mistake free. I hope to see a new QB for the entire game. I hope to keep that hope alive. I feel a Shawshank Redemption quote coming on....
