Kerbyson, Randolph, McNeil, Owen, and Vonn Pearson should have all gotten invites. The bama crap for this game is just to much.

Well, not all but a couple should have gotten invited.


I thought this game was for guys like our guys. Not an all bama team. They are like 6 bama players on the east squad.

I think Kerbyson and Randolph are going to be those 4-6th rd steals...sort of like Fulton was a few years ago. Wasn't given much attention at all. Then he ends up being a starting OG for the Chiefs.

I wouldn't mind seeing the Titans replace S Michael Griffin with Randolph. He's been the best Safety we've had since Eric Berry, himself.

Owen Williams.

Randolph sucks at safety, McNeil sucks, Kerbyson couldn't pass block a 3 year old. Now that's not saying they didn't give their all or that they didn't "go through hell" aka practice football and go to class. But they just aren't that good.

Why are a few on here getting mad about those type of observations? Everyone was yelling at Randolph for the bad angles, McNeil for bad coverage, and Kerbyson for giving up sacks when we were losing big games.

All of a sudden we got a few posters who want to act like saints and tell others they can't say a player sucked. They weren't good players, there that's a little more pc for the pc bros.

I can't believe some people that dare call themselves Vols fans, just WOW!

The fact is that if these players sucked they would NOT be playing in games.

Not even as a backup.

We finally have talent and some depth so any players that sucked would never see the field during a real game.

Even to any of our footVol players that may not be good enough to make a NFL roster I still have 2 words to say to them....THANK YOU for giving your all and being a solid VFL!!!

I appreciate every single one of our players in every sport that DOES work their butts off in their sport to do the best they can and works their butts off in their classes to EARN a degree.

All of these guys and girls have worked very hard and have EARNED and simply DESERVE our thanks and respect.

People that are so immature and classless to say things like this about our Vols players are actually the people that suck IMO!

JMHO, TIFWIW and pardon me if I upset any of the good people here on VN.

I really am surprised that a few of our Seniors didn't get invited to participate in the Senior Bowl.

I wish them all the very best for their future in or out of football!

I'm guessing you want me to say they aren't "very good."

Look some players are better than others. I'm not going to pretend our senior class was good just so I don't hurt anyone's feelings.

The truth of the matter is they weren't as good as their peers in the SEC or around the country. Hence the lack of invites to the senior bowl.

They weren't All-American, but they were at least competent if not pretty good. Randolph and McNeil provided good, consistent play. You don't get the defensive rankings of the last two years if your safeties "suck." The comment about Kerbyson by another poster is laughable - an OG playing out of position would up making a fairly good OT. The rushing totals this year alone support that - you don't do on the ground what UT did without a fairly good LT. There may have been other seniors that were better, but that doesn't convert everyone that didn't make it to the senior bowl to "suck." Why go there anyway? Why be so ready to just declare that for UT players that gave their all through what the last four years have been?

Sucks isn't an observation, it is a total criticism of a player abilities. All players have their strengths and weakness. An observation that a player takes bad angles or comes off the block too soon identifies weaknesses. But how about trying to critique or evaluate a player on their overall performance not just their weaknesses.

Maggitt would have been invited if he didn't get hurt. It would have been a great final opportunity to bolster his draft stock while wearing the T.

It's called having class. Discussing a players strengths and weaknesses is one thing. To say they suck is just classless and shows the mentality of the poster.

The NFL is looking for the cream of the crop in these games.

Plenty of players don't get invited to them.

Unfortunately, being a VFL doesn't automatically guarantee admittance.
