Do we have a 1,000...

I think Bishop could get there. The coaches seem to trust him in pass protection so he’ll get the most meaningful snaps. He’s got a spotty record for staying healthy tho. Lewis has a lot of potential and hopefully has improved his blocking. Thomas was an interesting pickup because he could have gone somewhere and been the #1 guy. They must have some packages that get him in space, probably figures into the screen game a lot or bringing him in as a receiving option in the pass game. They must have sold him on something like that when they were recruiting him.
He wanted to shine in the SEC behind an offense that has proven it can run on almost anybody.

And he would share carries so he wouldn’t take too much of a beating in his final college year.
Maybe improve his stock quite a bit without taking too much damage.

I believe the question is: Do we have an OL that can open holes for a RB to reach 1,000 yards? I would say yes, CJH has proven that he does a great job on the rushing side of the offense. Do we have a RB that is durable enough to rush for 1,000+ yards........Bishop, Lewis, and Thomas are promising candidates...jmo
imo Bishop is the best of these, but he does seem to be injury prone.

HH's ability at QB position and play calling by Golesh, allowed UT to have their way with most defenses. Keeping them off balance, IMO.
The difference is that in 2022, Hooker didn't miss wide open guys down the field. Both Milton and Nico had many overthrows on such routes that would have been scores the last 2 years. It's been a QB issue

RB seems decent to me, Bishop looked good and he’s back. Peyton Lewis looked fantastic as a true freshman. And Duke starting transfer Star Thomas. But no QB and doesnt matter☹️

The common denominator is that Golesh was somewhere else both seasons.

JMO but Hazle over teaches and the QBs play tight.

I think Sampsons season last year is an aberration for this offensive system. This offense seems to run better with multiple RB threats. It is a lot harder to prepare for/stop 3 good backs than one great back. Also if we are going back to the uptempo multiple backs is the way.

In general, the jury is still out over Hazle. He's shown consistency to be predictable.

2022 we gashed teams on the ground but didn’t have a 1000 yard guy
Yeah that's fine we don't need a bell cow every year especially with the amount of speed and talent in our RB room. Rotate, give the guys rest and wear defenses down in the 4th quarter with our freshest RB while the defense clings to life since they can't substitute. It's been Heupel's bread and butter for years. If one of the guys makes a big enough jump to command enough carries to get 1000 yards, it means we're in REALLY good shape. If not it just means we have a really competitive stable of RBs.

Agree last season was a situation of having to go to that style rather than Hype wanting to. He used multiple backs every season until last yr so I see no reason Hype won't continue that trend this yr. Have to keep them all happy.
