I think it's entirely possible. There seems to be a lot of backers that want Currie gone. Blackburn was the right choice before and he's the right choice now.

Hire David Blackburn and let him bring in the next coach. There's a lot of good coaches out there and I'll bed David knows them all.

Currie is done.

This is my opinion of course, but I don't see how anyone in his position could survive this.

Honestly, Currie is a dead man walking and has every reason to hire a Dooley-esque coach just to F over the university on his eventual way out. He should not be allowed to make this hire.

I hope so. It means Currie can't hire the new coach.......

At the very least, Currie's ability to contractually obligate the UTAD to anything should (and probably has been?) suspended pending a clearing of the air between the UTAD, Admin, and boosters. I have no idea if this is possible or if anyone on the hill has the awareness to do that - most would still be in utter shellshock.

I am to the point of just chuckling and "letting go". It's not my job, and I have one that I should get back to 100% - can't spend all the time on VN that I want. Sorry, Freak! I'll still visit and lurk. :)

We could have a Jeremy Pruitt or a Jeff Brohm on campus in the next 48 hours. Putting the coaching (edit) search on ice for weeks simply to hire a new coach from exactly the same list of candidates that John Currie is currently working with makes absolutely zero sense.

Early signing starts in less than 30 days and we still have a shot to get Cade Mays if we can just hire a damn coach. We can deal with Currie and the Haslems later, but right now time is of the essence!
