I've read that it's something that makes the players feel better and they like the alternates? That's fine and well, but once UGA punches you in the mouth, any thought of what uniform you're wearing is the furthest thing on your mind. And I'd submit that if players are concerned about the color selection for Saturday, their minds are in the wrong place and they're in for a world of hurt, pain and disappointment. Bet several guys will be a bit shocked when they experience the physicality and speed UGA brings to the TN/UGA game. A neighbors son was on staff at App St and knows Aguilar. Said nothing rattles him. He's a cool hand Luke type of dude. I'll be curious to see just how true that is on Saturday.

White has said for traditional big games, Vols will play in orange & white. Alternates will be in non con games. Black unis in October/nov night games

Elite programs don't wear gimmicky alternate uniforms for big games. I'd be happy if they were done away with completely, but it has to be one of the four options listed (always with white helmets!) for any big conference or P4 game. Show the colors.

When you are going into a big game where the other team has slapped you around about 8 times in a row the only thing anyone around the program should be focused on is the game plan. Gimmicks like uniforms with a beatdown adds to the embarrassment. Hindsight would be "why are they focused on that bulls... in the first place?"

I agree. But you’re about 25 years late for that mindset. Kids are into the way they look out on the field now. If a different Uni gives them some swagger and feel good, I say leave it to them. It’s a mental thing. Look good, play good.

Those are the days we live in. We’re just a bunch of grumpy old fans that don’t like it.

I’m pretty sure @DeerPark12 said that we will only wear our traditional Orange Top white pants for UF, UGA and Bama and that other games we could have options vs other teams.

I think traditional uniforms should be worn for the "Big Three" (Bama, Florida, and Georgia). Wear the alternates for other SEC/P4 opponents.

Plus Georgia wears black time to time, so I don't think a black out is a good idea.

I mean we are checkering Neyland, it almost has to be orange tops and white britches.

Pointless drivel. Guess we get rid of the checkerboard end zones when players decide they want to run into something else or drop "Rocky Top" because it too country.

Times may change but my opinion about wearing the Orange won't.

I don’t like the checker neyland for this game. Neyland is more intimidating when it’s an orange out.
