There is a quality coach out there, keep the money in front of them, greed will win. Don’t go cheap, we will repeat the same fate we just lived through.

Yes there are but you are missing the big problem. Haslam and Currie. Braindead morons who at this point, I truly believe are actively torpedo our football program.

There are plenty of quality coaches but these idiots wont even consider them.

Agreed. It doesn’t have to be over. But the rest of the boosters must stand up to Haslam and replace Currie as soon as possible.

No, it's not a dumb idea.... with the national perception of Tennessee right now, we're going to have to dump a load of big money on anyone to get them to think that taking this job might have an upside. Money talks, UT is cheap, except when it comes to soaking the alumni. If Currie cannot be persuaded to come off the cheap offers, we'll end up with the reincarnation of Kiffin/Dooley/Jones. KIFFIN IS NO ANSWER. A low-life creep that no decent program can stand to be around.

We settled when those who actually run this athletic department attempted to force UTAD to hire a coach no one else in the country was going to hire for a head coaching position.

While other athletic directors were working to attract quality coaches or craft contracts to keep their coaches on campus, our athletic director was sunning himself in the Bahamas.

Why? Because his "exhaustive search" did not extend beyond a phone call to Pilot Headquarters.

John Currie and the House of Haslam inherit the maelstrom due to their massive incompetence and ignorance of all things football-related.

The only solution appears to be either a Tennessee legend with a lack of experience or a Tennessee villain who played a minor role in beginning this mess.

Because the House of Haslam settled earlier, we have to go for the scraps the others left for us now.

Yes sir. This search couldn't have been botched any worse. They did a stand up job.

Well it’s reported that Currie is meeting with Chad Morris tomorrow in Dallas. So it looks like we’re about to settle.

I respect that a coach would entertain coming here and that a big check is part of the overall equation to offset the the massive pressure that comes with the job. But if greed is his motivation - I wouldn't want him.

Tennessee should be a desirable destination with good candidates contacting the University. We shouldn't need to go around hat in hand begging. All I can figure is that the AD truly is this messed up as it has been for 10 years. Still, patience is in order. We don't need to throw millions at just anyone that does us the favor of coaching here.

The whole patience thing has been rendered moot with the early signing period. The longer we go without a HC, the less time we getbto recruit. We should slready have a quality head coach. We are royally screwed at this point.

We’re viewed differently outside the hills of Tennessee. Here in Big 10 country we’re viewed as an also-ran.
