Do you all think bashing players, coaches etc. on message boards negatively effect recruiting, players and the program in anyway?

Yes

No

I personally think it does. I also think the "negavols" are just way louder than the ones that choose to let the season play out and not bash the program with ever chance they get. I am expecting about 80% yes and would be really disappointed if not.

Negavols destroy recruiting, team morale, coaches' self-esteem, and they sit during games.

They don't financially support UT. In fact, they are bammer plants on double naught missions to destroy everything UT. The team played the way they did against AR & KY last year because of them. The second half letdown in this year's FL game was caused by them. They are the reason Hunter and Bray were hurt last year. They hate the university, the state, and the country. They cause high gas prices, floods, and droughts. They probably caused the 2008 financial collapse. They hate the color orange. They hate fuzzy, cute kittens.

They cause climate change. They are responsible for the hole in the ozone. They are responsible for the meteor that destroyed the earth.....oops wasn't supposed to say that....yet. Consider yourself warned.

Do you mean in a good way or a bad way?

No. It's a message board where FANS post. You're going to end up with fans all across the spectrum. One group doesn't affect anything more than any other

I bet that there is some little intern who monitors these boards somewhere and reports back to the AD what the "pulse" is of the fans....

Yeah right.. I bet Dooley and co even know this site exists, maybe a few players...

Dooley needs zero help creating a dumpster fire.

The thing I do not understand is why folks are a Negavols if they speak the truth...

CDD's record sucks... he has some freshman I will say that, but his roster isn't filled with Freshmen anymore.. We actually have a lot of experience now....

Recruiting and the players. I know if my son was thinking about committing to a program I would go to their blogs to see what the thought was about the coach from the fan base. We saw a hall of fame coach get run out of here "with the help of fans". Not saying Fulmer did not deserve to be fired but the fan base pretty much made the decision. If I came on volnation right now I would question if my son was going to be playing for the coach that was in my living room. I would also want to punch some fans in the face if I was Tyler Bray. Hey this is just my opinion. Maybe I am way off.

Then, maybe UT should hire a coach with a proven track record so that he can point to his success while in the living room with the recruit and the parents.

I guess if all a coach has are losing seasons, then there are not a lot of objections said coach can make to such a parent.

I have to agree with this. Plus if I'm a recruit and saw how the "FANS" hammered the current players/coaches, I would not want to join a team where the fan base was a bunch of cry babies.:cray:

No he can actually point to the fact that we are getting better. If I remember correctly we were ranked 12/12 in offense last year and this year we are ranked 2/14. We just installed a new defense and will only get better. If our defense just goes up half of what our o has in it first 3 years we are undefeated.
