APPROPRIATE!!
Coach Pruitt's 1st game vs top10 WVU we play a decent 1st half vs a Sr laden high powered offense led by a heistman contender, our starting C Kennedy played the entire game on a torn knee ligament and Chandler, out best offensive weapon went down the 1st series.
Sadly we lost to Fl but 7 turnovers will get you beat by everyone. We still moved the ball vs them and talent level not that far apart. I like our QB more than theirs.
CJP has proven that give him an xtra week to prepare that he can gameplan as we lined up and beat a Sr laden quality Auburn team, our 1st glimpse that we could be on the right track I felt. We played well in spots vs Alabama, was in a dogfight at Ga for 3 quarters, played well vs USC in an extremely tough environment vs a quality Sr laden team. I thought coaching experience factored into that loss but believe we outplayed the chickens that day and came up just short. We flat out whipped Ky, another sign that give Pruitt extra time to gameplan he'll beat you as he used Charlotte as a glorified scrimmage to prepare for Ky (almost cost him). I like CJPs go for broke aggressive style, I like the fact that our team fights for it, similar to Coach Pruitt's persona, I like the fact that everyone in the country is starting to take notice of how well we are playing and several of the talented kids the Vols are puting on the football field!!
Mizz, Vandy and a big10 patsy in the bowl game, Ga State, BYU, UTC and then Fl in the swamp!! I say now is exactly the time to get hyped up! If we win this week we'll likely be favored in every game from now until Fl next year!! We need 105,000 strong Saturday and another quality effort from our boys!! This team and staff are starting to win over some of the worst of our NegaVol fans and are starting to excite our old school fanbase based on how hard they play! If we somehow run the table (I give us a 60/40 chance), beat Fl next year I figure the Ga game in Neyland will definitely be hyped!! We'll need another great effort Saturday to win and BECAUSE of how well this bunch has performed this far I expect us to do just that!

I am hyped up -- but gotta stay grounded. I was in Knoxville for the Kentucky game. It didn't feel completely like a domination win. Most of that is due to the fact that we, as fans, have just gotten so used to us finding ways to lose that no lead feels completely secure. However, those two late turn-overs certainly felt like we were trying to give the game away. Luckily, the defense stepped up and UK just straight up choked down the stretch. CJP has our team on the right track, but still way too many mistakes at crucial times (we had a couple of false start penalties at really bad times). All that being said, this staff and this team got it done and found a way to win. Very proud of them! Neyland started off a little dull but the crowd responded as gave the fans something to get excited about.

We don't beat Florida. While Mullen is on drugs and cant recruit because people find him weird, he is a good coach. After the last couple years, yes it took me that long, I no longer will put any faith in a W over Florida.

I'l go with cautiously optimistic for now. If we win out I'll get hyped. On the upside I feel like it's possible for the first time in a bit. One game at a time.
This weekend is going to be tough! Lock and Mizz have owned us the past 2 years. Stopping their running game is key, we've got to keep them in 3rd and long all game! We need Tuttle to disrupt the middle of the pocket Sat. Pruitt is the real deal I feel so I'm gonna ride it awhile! I say we get it done, win #3 in a row on the way to 8 in a row and then who knows!

Florida is totally beatable w/ Franks in there. If Emory Jones had real skill, we woulda seen him by now IMO.

Is Mullen on drugs? His eyes are shifty and wild as hell.

I hope you're right. I think we have to get pressure on Lock and take the deep ball away. If we make them rely on the intermediate passing game we will create turnovers and win. If we give Lock time he will carve us to pieces. Got to get after him.

Everyone hyped and if beat Miz, we'll take over Nashville like the good old days. Going to take our best game + Neyland factor to beat Miz. Miz balanced, but can be mistake prone. Only thing I may disagree with is the Charlotte game. Though we clearly didn't play our best, they are ranked #14 in total defense on NCAA website, so it may prove they're just pretty good on D... maybe better than the last two teams we're playing.

He cant recruit? His average per recruit is better than ours at the moment. But I completely agree. There is no point in ever predicting a win over Florida. Because even we are at our best, we really cannot beat them consistently.

Mullen is a top tier coach I believe and his players seem to really enjoy playing for him. Florida is only going to get better with him at the helm. They'll be a tough out next year but definitely beatable with Franks playing QB.

Um no they didnt own us in 2016. It was quite the opposite. Lock had a decent game but nothing soecial. He had a QBR of 36 that game. We need our pass rushers to step up big time. LBs are going to have to play a great game. I worry about our secondary. Somehow, Missouri has been able to get stud WRs year after year.

Wouldnt surprise me if Emory Jones beats him out for the starting spot next year.

Sadly they've owned us more times than not. We'll have to play our A game to win, if Neyland is rocking would help but got a feeling there will be several empty seats, Probably a good game to drive up and see. I think our young DBs will be tested, if Alontae is as good as everyone thinks he can be, that matchup could possibly favor the Vols I feel. LBs have played pretty good the last 2 weeks. We've got to slow their tempo down as well.

Not on rivals, a few points behind. But in their state, with miami and fsu struggling I don't consider that impressive considering they're having a decent season. Will see what happens in February

I don't say they "owned" us the last two years. We had "sold out" "given up" what ever. But to say anybody during the last part of either season owned us, just doesn't make it for me.. Out played us??? Yes. But that didn't take much.

I'm ready for all you said. But DO NOT underestimate this Missouri team. They have played like the 4th best team in this conference.

They are 6-4. They beat Purdue at Purdue. Don't forget Purdue destroyed Ohio State
They lost to Alabama 39-10. I watched that game. Missouri was the toughest opponent Alabama had played to that point. Don't forget LSU lost 29-0, and Miss St. 24-0.
They lost to Georgia 43-29. They played them tough.

There other two losses should have been wins. They outplayed Kentucky the whole game. A very questionable PI at the end saved KY. The South Carolina game had that 6 or 7 day rain delay. And I think SC won on a 52yd FG.

Missouri could easily be 8-2. This will be a tough game.

I do think Tennessee especially the defense and the home crowd gets Tennessee a hard fought win. Something like 27-24.
