I absolutely understand that this can be criticized based on opposition strength, but bottom line is it's improvement, and we need to get used to having nice things again.

So, congratulations Coach Garner and the DL, you've shown up to play the scheduled opponent and done your job well. Keep it up.

We need to make sure any DL prospects we are recruiting sees this.

Yes this is based off of very subpar competition. But you know what? I will take it. I would be willing to bet the past few years, we would have been thrilled to have our DL being talked about positively. I mean we have had bad DL play against virtually everyone we have played for years. I mean how many times have we seen super weak teams just abuse our DL?

Is our DL elite or even really good? No. But it’s sure nice to see them playing better.

He’ll of a lot better than I thought they’d be. That’s for sure. Had to replace several players including our best pass rusher. I expected a major drop off.

They look much closer to 2019 vs. 2020. Big upgrade!

I recall the practice article saying the DL group was consistently the last group to leave the practice field due to the extra conditioning work. Maybe the hard work is paying off and the other position coaches should take notice? When you don’t have the most gifted athletes then you have to out work and out prepare to have a chance to compete.

This list is terrible. We are seriously supposed to believe that Oklahoma and LSU both have some of the top rated D-Lines in the country?! Wut? Oklahoma's defense is more porous than a colander. And where is UGA on this list? They have monsters up front. They aren't even in the top 5? WTF? This list must be the top shoe sizes of the DL or some other BS.

DL has played very well versus the run. But we haven't generated a ton of pressure outside of the Tech game. Having Byron Young back in the fold should help with that though.
Every game the QB has made quick passes or they roll them out. How much do you think that has to do with it?

I agree with everything you said until your last q/a. Our DL might be really good or even elite. We’ll see
