DK back to Lakers....

If in fact LeB got him fired/traded because “ he didn’t pass the ball to Broony” then he is toast at Lakers. If that is not true then he will get some PT in order to be a “ value piece” for future trades. The whole league saying he was steal of the draft has not gone away.

Again, I doubt he's that sensitive
Not about being sensitive, its about getting screwed and knowing the organization doesn't really want you there.
Think the lockerroom will have the same respect for him? Think they will look at him the same way or will they wish the failed physical would not have happened?

Also his next contract will be based on his current production. How much PT do you think he is gonna get? Probably way less than he was before, so now this situation is hosing his future as well

Yes, I think LeBron will have the same amount of respect for him.

You're way off base here

So Luka wants a center so they trade you to satisfy him, but that doesn't work out and now you have to play with Luka knowing he doesn't want you there because he wants a center. How would that make you feel. Plus his PT is gonna be next to nothing
If I were a professional basketball player, like he is, it would be awkward, but I would understand it’s a business. It’s not like Luca wanted him traded out of spite. They needed somebody of a different position. It’s apples and oranges. also, with Dalton‘s career trajectory, I’m sure he’s very much prepared for this.

Your point about the plane time as well taken, however. To me, that would be the biggest issue if I’m him. The silver lining as he’s going to be on the biggest stage so if he’s able to take advantage of the minute, he gets, it’s going to be huge for him down the road. I would say unless something crazy happens it will be a forgo conclusion. They will move him before next season.

Or he is a mature professional and realizing this is a business and it made sense. He has much higher career accolade potential and long term money making potential at this current franchise and market. Nobody is the right might wants anything to do with the dumpster fire that is Charolette.
Agree. I don’t think this is rocket science. The Lakers need a center in the worst way and DK was the only reserve left with any value that they could offer. It’s a business and any player can be traded when a team has a need.

Leflop doesn't respect anyone and DK takes minutes away from Bronny.....
That’s ridiculous. Bronny takes minutes away from Bronny. No way he’s an NBA player except for who his daddy is and everybody knows it. The only reason he got drafted was to get LeBron to sign that last contract. If the Lakers play Bronny for any minutes outside of garbage time then they aren’t serious about winning.

If your boss fires you on Monday and then calls you on Thursday and says just kidding come back.....how are you gonna feel about that?
Regardless of it being a business decision or not. How do you feel in front of your current, then forner, now current again coworkers?

Personally, I would install some software to start funneling a fraction of a penny per financial transaction into a private account. And then I'd ask the weird dude who was confined to the office basement, and whose favorite stapler was forcibly taken from him, to burn the building down to hide the evidence.

I would think that anyone in any professional sports league knows that it is a business and they will be treated as a commodity. Get your feelings hurt? Too bad, get to work. Things a bit awkward? Get over it and get to work. Act like a professional.

LeBron told them to draft him, leflop will tell them to give him minutes

Hell, I’m just waiting for Lebron to be gone….I wanted Knecht to be there when that happens, Knecht is only going to get better.

Missed the point...try being discarded and then brought back knowing the organization didn't really want you there but is forced to take you back.
think people would still respect you?
I think you are trying to make your point “the point” but your point doesn’t apply at all.

He wasn't "discarded." Pro sports is a business and player are assets. He was just switched for a different asset because one of the best assets in the league happened to fall into their lap.

NBA players don’t have any loyalty or feelings of “fanship” to any team. It’s not like college. It’s not like the NBA of old.

He is not getting hosed, as stated it was a business decision.
Business decisions can hose people. Imagine if you business decided to move the office 90 miles away to save $200 on office lease. Either take a 90 mi ute daily commute or start over at a new company.

You just got hosed for $200
