OK, with all the posts, I'm totally confused now. I see Directv has the game listed in the ESPN Game Plan, but I can't find if the game will be shown as a Pay Per View. Anybody know?

It is not currently in the DirecTV program guide (PPV games are in the 700 range). Someone in this thread called and was told it was not being offered.
It IS listed on the GamePlan list of games ( DIRECTV: Sports : ESPN GamePlan : Schedules ). Therefore it should be available out of state. Channel numbers have not been announced yet, and no GamePlan games have shown up in the guide yet.
Not sure why they're not showing it in state, there didn't seem to be that many games on PPV this weekend. We know the horrible quality can't take up that much bandwidth on the satellite, either.
My guide shows all the gameplan games, just not the VOLS. They have the Aub, Bama, Arky, and South FL games all starting at 7. And I am out of state so the blackout wouldn't apply to me.
What channel numbers? I think you'll find these are the in-state PPV games (supporting the UT not available story), NOT GamePlan. GamePlan channels are not yet announced.
Just ordered on Dish. 25 Bucks. Had to order the 1 day espn gameplan. Gives me 11 Games. UT v utm on ch 460. Spoke to a rep waived the 5 surcharge.

Are you out of state or in state? It now seems DishTV will only be offering it as a single PPV event for in state customers, but that may depend on which customer service rep in India you wind up talking to.
According to the ESPN3 site, there is no "Subject to Blackout", for the game. I could be wrong, but it looks like it will be showing in state, or at least right now according to Comcast here in Brentwood.
788-793 Channnels say ESPN Gameplan... there are sep PPV (783-787)
Breathe a sigh of relief:
Channel 783 on DirecTV
Pay-per-view information for Saturday's UT football game GoVolsXtra
