Dish/DirecTV-ESPN3 / Gameplan- PPV viewing options

This isn't per website...I called DirecTV and asked what channel and they told me it is not going to be a game that is offered. It makes no sense why they wouldn't offer it but per the customer service number it's true. Maybe someone else can call and find out that the lady I talked to was losing her mind. I really hope she was wrong

OK, with all the posts, I'm totally confused now. I see Directv has the game listed in the ESPN Game Plan, but I can't find if the game will be shown as a Pay Per View. Anybody know?

I'm in NC as well and just checked ESPN which says it is a gameplan game yet it is not one of the games on the directv guide??? Anyone have a final answer on whether it will be on or not???:banghead2:

It is not currently in the DirecTV program guide (PPV games are in the 700 range). Someone in this thread called and was told it was not being offered.

It IS listed on the GamePlan list of games ( http://www.directv.com/DTVAPP/content/sports/gameplan_schedules ). Therefore it should be available out of state. Channel numbers have not been announced yet, and no GamePlan games have shown up in the guide yet.

Not sure why they're not showing it in state, there didn't seem to be that many games on PPV this weekend. We know the horrible quality can't take up that much bandwidth on the satellite, either.

If you are in NC, you cannot order the single game PPV (assuming it becomes available). You need to order the GamePlan single week package. Should be cheaper than the PPV anyway, and you get more games.

My guide shows all the gameplan games, just not the VOLS. They have the Aub, Bama, Arky, and South FL games all starting at 7. And I am out of state so the blackout wouldn't apply to me.

On Directv there is one ESPN Gameplan channel that says "to be announced" (chan 793). Hopefully the game will be on there and just isn't in the guide.

Just ordered on Dish. 25 Bucks. Had to order the 1 day espn gameplan. Gives me 11 Games. UT v utm on ch 460. Spoke to a rep waived the 5 surcharge.

What channel numbers? I think you'll find these are the in-state PPV games (supporting the UT not available story), NOT GamePlan. GamePlan channels are not yet announced.

Correct. I just got off the phone with Brighthouse cable and she said the channels are typically released late Friday afternoon.

BYW... tvguide.com is usually pretty good for finding whatever you may be looking for.

Are you out of state or in state? It now seems DishTV will only be offering it as a single PPV event for in state customers, but that may depend on which customer service rep in India you wind up talking to.

In state. My rep was American. Single date not single event

Whoops. You will probably be blacked out.

Dish has a few U.S. based call centers...one is visible from I-81 in central Virginia.

788-793 Channnels say ESPN Gameplan... there are sep PPV (783-787)

According to the ESPN3 site, there is no "Subject to Blackout", for the game. I could be wrong, but it looks like it will be showing in state, or at least right now according to Comcast here in Brentwood.

I called Comcast here in Johnson City and they said it would be blacked out due to regulations. Not sure if she knew what she was talking about, but that's what she said.

BTW, anyone in this area with Comcast that's curious, it is $29.95 if you order before midnight Friday, or $34.95 if you order the day of the game.

True, the online guide now lists the GamePlan channels, though the DirecTV GP schedule page still says TBA for all channels (including our game).

Tennessee is not listed in the guide, either for GamePlan (out of state) or PPV (in state).

Of course, the listings are still subject to change, probably through tomorrow night.

Saw something interesting. Even though Comcast told me it would be blacked out in Tennessee on ESPN3.com on Saturday, it does not say that if you go to their site. Watch Live Streaming Sports Online - ESPN3

When you look at the upcoming events for Saturday, several have (Subject to Blackout beside them). Tenn - UT Martin doesn't.

Called them back and they told me it would not be blacked out. Got another American. 2 in 1 day has to be a record
