Director of Women's Basketball Sports Performance is leaving

Tyler Wayson annouced that he is leaving TN after 2 years on Kellie Harpers staff ( was also with Kellie at Missouri State)

This change needed to happen IMO. I did not feel like our ladies were at peak fitness last season. Lot of that had to do with injuries but still.

I thought they were in good shape for a team that had to play certain players a lot and had some injuries that limited other players. Physiology differences, COVID depression, over-use, etc.... all factors as well. Tough job being responsible for fitness.

Leaving to be a men's team strength coach at St. John's in New York. His brother posted his goal to is to a men's professional coach.

Good for him for getting this opportunity to move further toward his ultimate goal!

I just hope his replacement will be so strong that other programs will be trying to steal them, too.

Fitness has a lot to do with preventing injuries.
