Which satellite service carries Vols football games? I don't want to sign up then find out the sec network, or JP,, or LF, or whatever is regularly blacked out or they don't even carry it.

Direct and Dish are both safe. Go with Dish in opinion and experience. You also support a UT booster by choosing Dish.

Go Directv. The only thing Dish offers that Directv doesn't is Dish plays the orange and white game. You can catch it on replay on Directv though.

I have DirecTV and never missed a game in the last 5 years also get most basketball games (Mens and Womens).

I've had Dish for over a decade and swear by it. Customer service is second to none--and you don't have to buy your boxes like with Direct.

Dish hit me with a ton of hidden fees my first month. Dropped them and went to Direct. Couldn't be happier.

To each their own. That's the exact opposite of my experience. I'm sure Direct is great too. They offer the Cooking Network in HD too--satisfies my inner fatboy.

Dish here and have 0 complaints. You can lose signal during heavy duty storms, but they've got to be some pretty badass storms.

DirecTV is better by far, IMO. However, based on my experience, it occasionally lost signal due to weather. I guess it just depends on your location in that regard.

Direct,it has ESPNU in HD not sure about Dish,my dad had dish for a while,I've had direct for years and like it a lot better,it has to be ugly weather for me to lose the signal and I'm shooting over a ridge also and a lot better interface,as far as the guide and stuff go

I install both .. It depends on how sturdy your dish is attached and what it was sighted in with.. If the tech used a super buddy sat meter or a bird dog and it is sturdy it will have to rain like hell to go out...Mine goes out for maybe a minute when it rains really hard ... Maybe once every two months... Direct swim and kaku high def dishes must be dithered to get your hd sats sighted in optimally .. Always try to put it on a metal pole in concrete .. All of us installers have ours that way for a reason.. I switch every two years to get the deal in the first year... Not much diff at all if you have the 1000.4 dish from dish network, however if you have a 1000.2 either upgrade or go w a swim dish from direct

Have had Direct for 5 years now. Was finally going to get with the times and get a HD and DVR. I got many warnings about Comcast, mainly about prices and customer service. Ended up upgrading with Direct and got everything and they were cheaper than anyone.

I also haven't missed any UT games except for the O&W game.
