Not really. He took Top 10 talent in '08-'09 and drove that team straight into the ground. They showed precious little coaching this season. Anyone paying attention could tell he was overmatched. Never should have been given the job in the first place.

Wake Forest expects and deserves better than a middle of the ACC finishes and quarterfinal losses in the ACC tourney.

Doesn't shock me, and they are a great coaching destination.

Too many boosters confuse name recognition with competence.

To be fair, I think Prosser passed away in what seems like mid to late summer... not exactly the ideal time to be searching for a new coach. Plus, the team was hurting and needed some stability (especially in recruiting where Gaudio kept a top 5 recruiting class that season) so hiring from within was virtually their only option.
