They assumed I was insulting the man because of his medical condition resulting in his not having eyebrows. In truth, I did it for mainly two reasons. One, I loved how he did his pulling a rabbit out of the hat escapes from TFLs and scoring with the odds seemingly against him. So I thought, "The goblin got 'em again." Two, Dobbs was the bane of teams like Kentucky, and USCe. So I played on the somewhat phonetic similarity with his name and the Spider-man villain "Hob Goblin." Thus, Dobb Goblin. It got no traction, but did get some serious blow back. I still didn't care that much about it because, well..you know..this is VN. Folks will find or create an excuse to criticize, insult, or hate someone or something. I'm OK, with that because VN wouldn't be VN otherwise, it's part of this forum's color. And even with some posters who I felt forced to put on ignore, we're still all Vols fans regardless.

Make sure you understand the patient part of the message. Not suggesting he is ready now. Geez, if he can’t do it then so be it. But the guy has the physicality to be the man if he puts it all together.

Hooker might be a better passer than Dobbs. He has come a long way since the spring game. He has surprised me, and I give him props. But Dobbs is still the better runner.

Yeah you do, or you wouldn’t be on a message board telling everyone to be patient when the player you’re defending clearly doesn’t have it. It bothers you that everyone else has moved on from your favorite.

I have been following TN football probably before you were born. I don't dislike MIlt. I just don't want to see him on the field. In the same was JG was not fixable I don't think Milt is fixable. For the past 3 or 4 years I wanted anyone besides JG on the field. Nice guy, tried hard, just wasn't the qualty of qb we needed. Personal opinion is that Milt isn't either and he never will be.

That is fine. Your missing the entire reason of most of this thread. Attacking the young man’s toughness, character, commitment, heart and sophistication is completely different. To do that anonymously without a hint of inside knowledge is cowardly. I hope you would agree.

I would agree that it is not appropriate to question Milton's character. However when he runs out of bounds with no time on the clock you have to question his toughness or lacking that, his intelligence.

You can question his decision making at that moment. I would disagree you can question his overall intelligence without knowing anything about him. As far as his toughness I would be willing to take his over anyone on this Board. If I’m wrong why don’t y’all call Ole Joe up and see if you got what it takes.

Gotta love Hooker's willingness to tape his ears back and drive for it at the end of the run. He has some fierceness in him and I like it. We were definitely lucky to get him or our season would likely be complete crap right now.

I think that if he wasn't so scared of getting hit, he would be accurate in the game like he is in practice. Mike Tyson said," everyone has a plan until they get punched in the mouth."
If he was as tough as Hooker or Dobbs, he would be awesome!

None of the QBs since Dobbs have had SEC QB talent except Shrout. His arm strength was outstanding & if he cAn get healthy, he’ll play at Colorado. None of the others proved they could play elsewhere yet.

I would not mind telling Joe face to face anything I have said on this message board. I would not enjoy doing it but I would not be afraid to. I would suppose the coaching staff already has.

I doubt that the caching staff has told him he was dumb and weak. That seems a pretty stupid thing to do. But hey, you seem to be doing stupid consistently…. So hats off to you. I’m looking forward to seeing your head shoved up your azz by Joe. Still don’t think you have that pair though.
