I mean...they came into the game with us already bowl eligible, they beat Alabama, and they played Mizzou/Texas/LSU close. If I was him, I would have thought I could beat Tennessee too.

As others have mentioned: his playstyle is very high on wear and tear. I think he will be limping into Neyland after getting chewed up again this year. I doubt he stays healthy.

Also, nobody is going to be fooled by Vandy's slow grindy offensive play style again this year. They took advantage of a really undiciplined Bama defense, but since then nobody has really been fooled. All you have to do to beat them is get ahead by a touchdown and watch them burn the clock for you. They cannot play fast unless they overhaul a lot of what they did last year.

Keep talking, buddy. Keep talking.

Putting fuel on our fire and we will do our talking on the field.

I love guys like this - they have one decent season, get 15 mins of glory and try to stretch it to 30.
Makes for good highlight reel material at the end of the year when he's being knocked on his hind parts often.

Write checks dude. See if you can cash them with your play. I like his bravado, but unless your team has been beating another team for the last 10 years you might wanna stop talking.

Honestly, if you're a quarterback in the SEC, you should have this attitude towards all your opponents. But having the attitude and being publicly vocal about it are two different things.

If he’s still playing by the time we meet he’s going to eat those words and a lot of turf…Regardless of who we have in the game on any given play, I’m pretty sure at least four if not more of our front seven are faster…and all of them a meaner and stronger…

He’s like the kid from FSU talking trash about Bama…seems like just a few years ago FSU played Bama in the opener and lost their QB for the season - not really on one hit but more the cumulative effect of being hit hard just about every play…

Exactly 1000x….used to work in highly regulated industry and sometimes the inspectors were dumber than rocks…but you didn’t tell them that. You treated every idiotic question as if it were some new significant insight…Bear Bryant set the standard for how you talk about your opponent

Vanderbilt was a powerhouse during the first decades of CFB (Tennessee hired Neyland with the order to beat them). They began to falter in the 40s and have rarely had a winning record since 1960. Sixty five years of frustration, and they have a chip on their shoulder, now? Good for them. May they upset other SEC teams. Being Orange, I’d rather the Vols defeat them every year that I’m still alive and a few more for good measure.
GBO.

Confidence is great. But, shooting your mouth off usually comes back to haunt you. To be honest, this just shows how we live in Candy's head rent free.
