Didn't make preorder on PS4

When the 360 came out, if you found a secondhand one for $750, you would have practically stolen it. The supply for both consoles appears as though it's going to be MUCH, MUCH better this time around.

That's what I've read too.

A couple of friends I work with are thinking they're going to get anywhere from $1000-$1800 for their ps4s because of the sell prices on ps3. I wanted to say that I think there's going to be a lot more available at this launch, but kept my my mouth shut instead of being a debbie downer to them.

There seems to be no method to the madness for how much these things are selling for on ebay. Some are selling for as low as $525, which basically means after tax and fees the sellers are just breaking even, and some are selling for as much as $700+. Makes no sense.

I sold my PS4 for 725 and the X1 for 850. Its funny though because the market is saturated right now on Ebay. I am still confident I will be able to find one on release day in a store in my area or in a 50 mile radius (A PS4 anyway).

Their only shot at getting that kind of money might be to still be holding them the couple weeks before Christmas. The people who truly care about gaming are going to get their systems over the next few weeks, but before the holiday shopping rush really gets going and parents get desperate to score one to put under the tree. Even then I doubt they fetch that much with the supply being so good this time around.

I never understood why people would pay more than retail for one. Excel the wii, that took years to get back in stock.

With the 360, it was because people wanted them for Christmas gifts. Within a week after the holiday shopping craze was over they were available just about everywhere.

Its all about supply and demand son.........I know you went to college. Its the same thing with when the new Jordan's or new Iphone comes out. If you dont have one preordered people will pay almost 50% more to get one at launch.

I get the economic theory, I just don't understand the appeal or need to have one day 1 and pay a premium. Especially when supply looks to be there or will be there shortly.

I know, just messing with you. Most of them are people who have more money than they know what to do with and the other half is kids who have parents who have more money than they know what to do with.

RP be careful seems as if the have more units than they thought. I would get rid of them this weekend or the following week. To help to buy the other system.
