Thinking of going to wal mart at midnight on the 15th. Anyone have any experience with this?

What are my chances of getting one?

Yeah I expect a line for the release. Do you believe Wal Mart will have enough extras for me to get one? Let's say if I'm the first 20 people in line?

I was hoping maybe someone remembered the PS3 release. haha

When the XBOX launched, I was about 18 deep at Walmart at 5pm on Clinton Hwy.

Not sure how it's going to be this time around. I've been reading reports of BB having anywhere from 30-200 for sale.

Probably best to try and find out how many will be available. Best Buy is supposed to do some sort of ticketing system starting at 9:30pm (at at least some stores). I would imagine people will be there that morning or early afternoon.

Let us know if you find out any stock numbers if you're in Knoxville. I'm interested in buying an extra or two...

Yeah I wish I would have pre ordered as well. I didn't plan on getting one this year to begin with. My son just can't decide on anything he likes this year so I figured a PS4 would be a good overall gift.

Oh thanks for all the answers. Likes across the board!

i figured i couldn't go wrong with preordering 2. if i cannot get a premium out of the second one, i'll just give it to my boy for christmas and completely blow his mind.

Best thing to do is wait until January or February when the inevitable bugs that plague a product launch are usually ironed out. The feeding frenzy over pricing is gone as well.

However, if you insist on being an early adopter, either pre-order or make sure you're one of the first in line.

if we are talking bugs being worked out, that may be june, july, or even longer. hopefully that is not really too big of an issue this go around with either system.

Just so you know each gamestop is getting extra units. My gamestop is getting 8 extra consoles so check there.

Local Best Buy (Tampa) told me they expected to have plenty through the holidays as there is sufficient stock to handle demand. Said many were cancelling pre-orders because they didn't expect the demand for resale to be there. I guess we'll soon know.

I wonder how many Ps4 jackings will go down on Friday outside of *insert retailer here*?

I asked one of the guys at Best Buy what they'll have on launch days for ps4 and Xbox One. He said they'll have more in store surplus than the pre-order total.

Ive already sold two of my preordered or I would offer it up here.

There seems to be no method to the madness for how much these things are selling for on ebay. Some are selling for as low as $525, which basically means after tax and fees the sellers are just breaking even, and some are selling for as much as $700+. Makes no sense.

I'm looking to buy a xbox one as a birthday gift for my brother. If anyone is selling one and can meet in the Nashville area I'd appreciate it. Thanks!
