Yes the logo was totally wrong, but what else would you expect from ESPN.

We are mid of the sec team. We only won one road game which it took OT to do and finished 4-4 in the conf. Dont get me wrong a mid road SEC team is a top tier in almost every other conf, but Holtz is correct on this one. They know we are on our way back:rock:

ESPN and FOX have been ridiculous in their bowl coverage. I actually think, and even if i wasn't a VT fan, that the CFA bowl is a great match-up. Instead there is no real research on the teams and like you said, "everyone" thinks VT is bad b/c we lost to Bama and didn't win the ACC, and people think Tenn is still being coached by a young guy who wanst to ruffle up Meyer.

There is no research done by anyone.

I just can't wait for the game and I hope we can work something out to play you guys more often.

Let's think about this one guys...Lou Holtz job is to talk and he has a speech impediment. How seriously can you take him? ESPN is a joke when it comes to TN sports, I think they're mad because our Lady Vols are head and shoulders above their beloved hometown Lady Huskies. Whatever though, like I said, Lou Holtz job is to talk and he has a speech impediment. That's like someone who's job it is to run having a gimp leg.

The logo thing is unprofessional, childish, and pathetic. I would think an attorney with the UT athletic department should make a call to ESPN if it continues.

The trailer-trash remark should have gotten Palmer fired - no excuse for that any more than the comments that cost Limbaugh his job, and years before that, Jimmy the Greek.

Holtz is a pathetic excuse for a human being posing as an unbiased commentator. He's quickly becoming a self-parody; it almost seems like he's constantly seeking to outdo all his own previous inanities and make an even bigger fool of himself than he has previously, if that were even possible.

When will the Crypt Keeper just go away? I am surprised he hasn't choked to death on all the saliva he keeps in his mouth. Jesse Palmer was a system QB--what did he do in the NFL? Sportscenter is like CNN--just something to keep on for background noise.

That Bowl coverage was awful.

I hate to say it but we are a mediocre team at best. We lost to Auburn, UCLA and (when I thought we might be getting much better) we got blown out by an unranked Ole Miss team. Even the Vandy and Kentucky win was not impressive to be honest with you. A terrible Vandy team kept it close and a 7-5 Kentucky team took us to overtime. As far as ESPN is concerned, some of those guys may not like TN on ESPN, but the majority call it how they see it. I can promise you this, if TN starts dominating the SEC they will get some respect. Until that happens we will have to be content with the good comments and the bad.

Jed- your thoughts make sense, and as a VT fan I get upset when ESPN misrepresents VT, but the issue with ESPN is that they run the show, so when they want to dis a school they just do it.

All of those guys would still say that USC-W is one of the best teams in the country. Their record would obviously say otherwise, but it is just stupidity that I think bothers people.

At VT we get two Thrs night games, it seems like one week the crew wants to like us, and the other week we suck. So I have learned to not pay attention.
