Records are next to meaningless in college football. Just ask TCU, Cincinnati and Boise State. At least one of those teams will go undefeated and the team many consider to be the weakest beat the BCS conference champion Oregon quite handily. Where are they? They are "participants." They are the also-rans of the BCS. They are the prettiest girl from a small town in a pageant that only takes the girls from the bigger cities seriously. As for Tennessee, very few teams can say that their 4-4 conference record includes two losses to #1 teams. A record is not just numbers. This game is all about perception and most of all, money. Hello Auburn and the Outback Bowl committee, I'm talking about you!

I thought the lady Vols Logo was kind of funny..I bet Lane did too...it's just some BB material for him to use....ESPN disrespects us...the whole Bowl system disrespects...Kiff will have the boys ready to play.

Come on folks.... How do you not classify Tennessee as mediocre this year? When did 7 & 5 become anything to write home about. Heck, I would go a step further and say that 8 and 4 is mediocre. Tennessee is not even in the top 25. How can they be anything more than mediocre.

Now I do take issue with the lady vols logo. That has to be on purpose. If enough UT fans voiced their angst with ESPN perhaps the logo issue will stop. The only way to get this **** stopped would be to have other media pick up the story - bad PR can bring about swift changes.

VT is ranked #11 in the BCS and USA Today. #12 in the AP. This is a very tough team the Vols will be facing. That will make it much sweeter if Kiffin and the guys can pull out a victory. This team has been looking for a defining victory over a highly ranked team. Here is one last chance to show the country that this will be a team to be reckoned with. There is no payoff that sweet to beating Northwestern in the Outhouse Snooze Bowl.

:groupwave:We've been talking about this for a day now, but again even ESPN was covering the Sugar Bowl aka FL vs. Cinnci. The question was how to stop Florida's offense. What do you think they showed?????..........Yep, you guessed it, the Vols defense! I don't care that we are 7-5, the fact that they are showing how to beat a team that WAS #1 when we played them, makes me spastic!!! GO VOLS!!!

Screw it, It's lou freakin holtz, we have winning records against two of his previous teams, He will hate us forever, or at least until he gets rid of that darn lisp. And Palmer is an ex gator so there ya go. I did however hear Palmer give Crompdizzle all kinds of credit, And I could care less really what Palmer thinks. If Crompdizzle only ends up as a host of a college football show then he has done as well as palmer.
