that Joe Paterno's annual base salary is $512,664. I realize he is past his prime now,but Paterno made the Penn State program. The fact that Fulmer makes over 2.5 million per year is obscene.

Fulmer's base salary is less than that. And Penn State is notorious for not actually releasing the details of JoePa's contract.

he may be past his prime and he's still getting wins...all fulmer does is change our punter...that 2.5 mill a year sickens me

Not to defend Fulmer but Paterno also has a fair amount of local fan base calling for his retirement. It's been a long time since they've made it to a BCS bowl too. The screams normally come later in the season when they under perform unlike Fulmer who likes to screw up right out of the gate.

Werent they just in the Orange Bowl a few years back? 2005 against FSU?

Whats the difference between Kermit the Frog and JoePa, and how are they alike?

One is green.

But they're still both puppets.

Fulmer's base salary rose from $275,000 to $325,000. He gets $800,000 for being on radio and television shows, an equipment and apparel fee of $625,000 and $300,000 for endorsements and appearances.

The salaries of the head coach, assistant coaches, and support staff at Penn State totaled $2,795,417 for the 2007-2008 year.

Besides Paterno has been coaching for 42 years.

Paterno could have made more money if he pushed for it and truly wanted it.

I'm not sure I believe that Paterno makes "only" $500,000 a year. People don't typically donate 8 times their income to build libraries. I'm sure he has media money as well as money coming in from Nike etc.

my apologies hohen

lol

:)

Guess point I was trying to make was Penn State's Bowls over a period of time hasn't been great. No Rose Bows since 1995. Paterno had been getting heat but not on the national level. But still better then Phil's.

1995 Joe Paterno Won Rose Bowl
1996 Joe Paterno Won Outback Bowl
1997 Joe Paterno Won Fiesta Bowl
1998 Joe Paterno Lost Citrus Bowl
1999 Joe Paterno Won Outback Bowl
1999 Joe Paterno Won Alamo Bowl
2003 Joe Paterno Lost Capital One Bowl
2006 Joe Paterno Won Orange Bowl
2007 Joe Paterno Won Outback Bowl
2007 Joe Paterno Won Alamo Bowl

True but Penn State would've been in the Rose Bowl instead of the Orange in '06 is the NC wasn't held there.

Here we ago again with the facts. I'm taking my ball home. :)

Good point Buckeyevol.

So in the end, what did I learn? Phil is the best at consistently sucking over the last ten years.
