Did we strike out on '14 recruits this weekend?

IMO recruits don't want to play for a coach who lets reality TV stars and 4 year old girls in the stands call the plays. That could lose ball games when it counts, know what I'm saying?

Please tell me you are kidding!

This recruiting class is done. We didn't get any at the game and now we're just completely screwed.

SIAP, but from what I have seen regarding recruits response to this weekend, TN is either one of the top or the top choice. Soooo I don't think we struck out on anything.

I would like to think the defensive recruits had to feel a lot better about the defense they saw out there yesterday VS what they saw from Tennessee last year. Hope that gets a few of them to go ahead and pull the trigger for the Vols.

Yeah I mean having Two four star dlineman call tn leader and a four star corner do same. Get one of top in state talents for 2015 to commit. Not too mention the other 195 visitors havent talked yet. Yep sounds like a major let down.
Isn't everybody else who had a spring game geting ten to fifteen commitments? This is awful. Damn expectations.

No, it had been reported for weeks that some recruits were waiting to commit DURING the Orange and White game! So was that all bull**** or did somebody have a change of heart?

Nobody reported that from a viable source. That was just a bunch of speculation from random people on this website.

Everybody chill we will have our 28 to 30 come NSD and ranked top 3, before then we got 12 football games to play and hopeful 13 games before all said and done a lot of the top recruits going to wait and see what we looked like on the field, cant blame them for that.

It could work on the flip side of that as well. Perhaps offensive recruits will see the reality of early playing time.

The recruiting process is always long. Many may be leaning, but want to see the product on the field in real game situations. You ever see great talent go to a losing team?

Yes all the time. Ole Miss last year for example

Exactly. This is the biggest decision they have made in their life to this point. People act like they are walking into a store and deciding between spearmint or peppermint breath mints. It should be a very thorough process and you want the kid to be 100% on his decision so he's not flip flopping around. A rushed decision is not doing us any favors.

Peppermint IMO
